Ok so last time we had the (lets leak the script so the fans can see what we're up to, make sure they're happy then change some bits) script now with the moaning some of you lot are doing about Nolan and Ledger, and for the life of me I dont understand why...Nolan was a genius before he ever took hold of BB and will remain that way....do you think it's time for a another leaked script on the net or even a ..... quick let's leak Heath's screen test on the net to shut them up .....? you tell me. Personaly I think it'll all be fine, Nolan is a great director and Ledger's no crap actor, if he was would he still be getting parts? I have even read some people saying 'I aint going to see this film if it aint done in such and such way'. GOOD FECK OFF THEN AND LET THE REST OF US ENJOY THE NEXT 2 YEARS WITH OUT YOU MOANING EVERY 5 MINUTES.....****! So please do tell me...script...screen test...or both. And shut up moaning! It could be worse , we could be getting all hyped about a film called Batman and Robin............

Although your post seems more suited for the IMDB boards than here, I will answer your question. No, we don't need another leaked script. Simply because the confidence level for this film is far above what BB's was (initially). When BB was announced, y'know, all there was was B&R, and six, seven years of pre-production on films that were never made. Despite Chris Nolan's credentials at the time, no one could really be sure of it's quality. Could predict just how good it was...until the script leak, at least.

With this TDK, however, we know how could it could be. How good it - probably - will be. While some problems with Ledger, they're far from the majority. While some people "lack confidence in Nolan", they're even more of a minority. TDK has probably the most positive buzz of any upcomming superhero movie and just because a select few people have some minor quibbles about the production is no reason to leak an entire script.

A lot of fans are under the impression that WB leaked the original BB script to them and the general public. That can't be further from the truth. You were never supposed to see it, only major internet film sites that could help build up some hype for the product. Someone from one of those sites did a "no no" and passed it on and on and on and on. Luckily, the reaction was positive from the studio, so they were ok with it.

But no, if WB has their way, you won't even have the opportunity to see the thing, but you'll get to read positive early reviews of the screen play.

I'd say the treatment review by LR should prove to be enough. Their reviews are mostly spoiler-free, but will offer people a glimpse of what to expect. It'll quell suspcions, while still leaving people to guess what's to come.

That was a pretty brilliant stroke of luck. It went from being the attrocious action of leaking a script, to being a really great momentum builder for the film (for the reasons I listed previously).

we currently have 2 active script threads. that just goes to show that there is strong demand for the script however way people get it.

Well, duh. Of course people want it. Whether they should actually get it is an entirely different matter.

Nice to point that out, BatScot. I totally forgot about that point. It's true. Many believe it was indeed Goyer who leaked the script to the top news sites for review. But we know for a fact it was a news site who then helped distribute it down to the masses. Because that news site was fearful of a lawsuit.

Many fans think that they had some right or privledge to read that script in the first place. Truth is, WB doesnt give a damn about the fans reading the material. It was all about those news sites giving it a positive review. And as I said, it was done to gain some hype.

no script!
and if i see the HINT of one, i'll go Office Space all over this computer's ass.
