Do You Believe We're In The"Last Days"?

In other words, you're assuming without any real proof that is how the Bible was written.

deductive reasoning based on observation of cultures at the same stage of development in the present or recorded past. also i've done the trance thing myself.

in 2012, according to mayan calender, we will experience a pole-shift, after which 'Aliens' will reveal themselves to us fully. It will be a difficult time and many will die through ilness, natural disasters due to the shift etc but we will be given advanced technology and the world will start to become lighter and more hopeful than ever. Humankind will develop a huge leap in spirituality and consciousness.

i believe God and Extra-terrestials may be synomonous,or that 'Aliens' were soely responisble for spreading different religions- and lastly that the bible was not created to be literally interpreted.

But i am open to anything. Whichever way i look at it i do think we are on the verge of something unbelievable and epic, and if you're lucky enough to come through it you will find yourself living in a better world.

i think a seasonal shift has already started which might be because of the magnetic poles doing their switch which is expected sometime.

That doesn't mean that they did it.

Those that believe the Bible was divinely inspired are also making assumptions without any real proof.

Those that have good reason to believe the Bible to be an inspired document aren't making assumptions.

Can someone explain to me why they think deductive reasoning or inductive reasoning off answers? They don't, they only offer assumptions. We wouldn't need to use those forms of logic if we are observing a subject we could know everything about as it's right in front of us. We are using it because we are dealing with history, and when we are dealing with that, we are dealing with almost total innaccuracy.

its sacry to think that we might..especially if Isreal gets nuked..:(

Well if you believe in the bible, then that won't happen. It states very clearly in revelation, once the Jews return to Zion, it will never be taken back from them again.

But back to the topic

I think the human race is in for a big change in the next ten years. I see one of two things happening. We reverting back to something similar to tribal times, with almost no technology and about a billion people on earth (use your imagination to figure out how that is gonna happen). Or we put aside our petty fights and unite as one race and go incrediably far, not just into outer space, but into other realities, ones that even transend death.

Either way, I see war ending very soon, either in a good way, or bad.

I'm reminded of an episode of the Daily Show where it showed a clip of George Bush at a press conference and a woman asked him if he thought the wars were a sign of the apocalypse and he struggled to answer at which point Jon Stewart said "JUST SAY NO!!!!!"

well you should rally against most of the legal system then if that is how you feel. if we didn't see the murder we can't have justice then, by your reasoning.

makes it a higher probabilty than any other way. anyway you presume that being in a trace state wouldn't actually allow you to talk to a god if there was one.

In your opinion, it's a higher probability than any other way. It doesn't mean it is.

nope you can do it based on the math of occured instances. statisical probability. to the best of our knowlage. which if you are talking about probabilities is the best way to do it.

There is no mathematical probabilities when it comes to the metaphysical.

there is of the ways most people experience the metaphysical or the aparently metaphysical. dream states. happens every night, that you are in a metaphysical realm of experience.

That doesn't mean that happened to the people of the Bible. You can't equate the Pagan world trance states with the Biblical world.

pagan is anything but christianity right. so if you believe me about any other religion why not about yours.

Yes, we are living in the last days. The last days of the world...as we know it.

The book of Revelations is just in the Bible because it makes a good ending. Every generation probally says it is the end of the world.

Even Jewish Hobbit is a great guy (though he should really read the Bible more.:()

I agree. I use to be awsome at it, about an hour a day. People use to come to me for bible knowledge and all that, but then a few things happened and I just lost it all. I got in a car accident a few years back and it messed up my memory. Mostly short term, aside from making me go blind for about 2 weeks. I've become a light version of Dorrie from Finding Nemo. I forget things almost immediately, and I hate that. I try to read the bible, and a half hour later I couldn't tell you a thing that I read. My wife can tell me to remember something and I almost instantly forget it. I have to concentrate like mad to retain information, it sucks. Anyhow... then after my first daughter was born, my wife and I just got busy with her and started missing some church. Then my second daughter was born and we let EVERYTHING get in the way of church. I got to the point that I was lucky to call myself a christian really. It wasn't very long ago that we both decided to get back to the way it was, but unfortunately, I've already forgotten most everything I once knew, and I'm not diciplined enough to read the bible regularly. I'm trying to get back to it, but I'm just having trouble with it. It's hard to motivate myself when I feel like I'll just forget everything I study. My self-esteme's dropped quite a bit since the accident, but I'm trying to get better.

And I only took one IQ test (Going back to that conversation) and it put me at nearly genious... somehow I doubt that's accurate (either that, or I'm smarter than I thought). But one thing's for sure, I got one point higher than my wife... and I mock her for it :)

But you're jewish!

This is the reason I wanted to change my name

The Jewish part was an inside joke between me and some friends... now the joke's long gone and the name remains... and still people get confused :)

Even if you dont' believe it, it's highly entertaining. It was actually the first book of the bible that I ever read. I was lost as can be, but I was entertained.

you do look like a jewish hobbit in pics tho.
