No other director would have done as good a job Raimi has done. Anyone else wouldn't have focused enough on Peter Parker, they would just had tons of flash with no substance. Yeah we've seen Raimi's version, and since it's spectacular, let's continue seeing it.

Without a reboot i gues we won't know for some time.......

He'smade the only real spider-man movies, we cant compare it to soemthing else, forall we know the next guy could make a much better Spider-Man movie.

Raimi cares about the quality of the movies because he cares about the character. That's why I think no other director could top him. Does anyone have suggestions for directors that would do a good job if they had to reboot?

Sequal no need for a reboot yet, even if Raimi has made some mistakes.

I want them to do this for Spider-man 4.

Against the threat of nuclear war...is Spider-man!

Spider-man takes on the nuclear arms race, by trying to rid the world of all nuclear weapons.

I wanted Spidey 4 to be a sequel only if Raimi & The whole Gang return . Otherwise don't make anymore spider-man movies .

So what do you want....? A Sequel to the Raimi Spider-Man movies or a reboot of the whole franchise., possibly closer to the comics???

What do you want?? :spidey:

Sequel. Reboots are only done when movies suck henceforth the last "Batman" sequels and "Superman" sequels, but with "Batman Begins" and "Superman Returns" they've redeemed themselves.

"Hulk" Marvel is going to redeem themselves with, but "Spider-Man" is their biggest grossing franchise ever, it'll go on for years.

yeah, thats extremely true. When Spidey goes down the drain, then we will talk about a reboot.

Sequel. I guess I'm with everyone else when I ask:
What would warrant a reboot?

take a three year layoff... SM4 in 2011 with a new cast and characters... that's the best way to go if they can't sign anyone to come back...

How could I not agree with this? Raimi DEFINITELY cares for the characters. Who'd want a director who'd make Peter Parker a science geek genius who builds his own webshooter? Who'd want a director who doesn't have the sense to know that Mary Jane is NOT a bombshell with firm, supple breasts and straight teeth? Who'd want a brainless hack for a director who thinks that the Green Groblin shouldn't be a demented man in a Power Rangers suit and aweful helmet? Who'd want a director who thinks that Peter should fall in love with Gwen Stacy first?

Yep. Sam suuuure cares for the characters.

Reboot.

I would love a sequel, but if there isn't one I could see a reboot in about ten or so years.

There may come a time when a reboot is needed, but I think there is still some good story to be told with these characters. Though I think the bad guys are drying up just a bit, there may be loads of baddies in the comics, but only a handful of them are worth a shot on the big screen, and we've seen most of those already.
