The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Doc Ock in TASM2

Here's a pic of the glasses

If you look closely it's apparent that these are not the same pair of glasses. They are similar in color however the glasses Andrew are wearing have an oval shape, they look longer from left to right. While the glasses that are worn by BJ are circular in shape and look taller from top to bottom. Also, the sides of the glasses appear thicker on BJ's pair. Just basing it on this info alone, imo, that's not Richard Parker.

yes i remember seeing that! they said he had a few good pages in the script. they probly wont go any where with him though

I saw that too. BJ's pair seems to be very similar, though rounder frames. I was chalking it up with a screw-up by the producers, since the glasses do look similar in color and points.

But either way I'm still starting to see the logic of them using Electro as a way to introduce Dr. Octavius and causing as accident. The arms could be used to get close to Electro and then the accident causes the arms to be permanently grafted. Boom, you have Doc Ock. Not saying Ock would have a main role in TASM2, nor would he be a villain in TASM2, just a secondary character that would be set up for TASM3.

Now, what would this mean for the Sinister Six if true?

Well, two ways to go...

Doc Ock could be the leader, which would mean that either Osborn gets Ock to form a team in TASM3, saving GG for TASM4; or GG will be dealt with in TASM3, leaving Ock for #4.

Or...

Goblin as the leader with Doc Ock as a member. This would upset many fanboys. It's one thing to replace Ock as the leader with GG and not have Ock in the movie; and another thing altogether to have Ock as one of the Six and not be the leader...

Wow I have seen this teaser multiple times when it debuted, but never caught the 'Doc' line.
So excited now. Since Webb confirmed that every character will be a significant part of Spider-Man mythology building a bigger universe for later installments I don't thing that this will be some random doctor.
My two guesses are: Otto Octavius or Spencer/Alister Smythe.. played by B.J. Novak (or even Colm Feore)

As much as I loved Molina's ock, Doc Oc is my favorite Spidey villain and I can't wait to see him portrayed again, regardless whose playing him (hopefully someone awesome tho )

I doubt that's what he means but the Russian version of the trailer shows a glimpse of ocks tentacles and vultures wings, so it's possible the character could be set up.

I think Phillip Seymour Hoffman would make more sense for Doc Ock, though I think Christoph Waltz is a fantastic actor.

If anyone saw the Russian bootleg trailer, it appears that Doc Ocks legs and Vultures wings are on display in the Oscorp facility that Electro is housed in.

Sorry if we aren't talking about that trailer. I never know if it is ok to mention leaks and the like.
