Pretty much every radio station, club and bar around here are preparing for Saturday, but does its history even have anything to do with what most people view it as, which is basically spring break for everybody? I was never that familiar with it, but what the hey. :o

It's my Wife's B-day?

Or, Mexico defeating the French?

Which ever.

What does Cinco de Mayo mean? May the 5th
Cinco de Mayo is a national holiday in Mexico which is also widely celebrated in the United States. It commemorates the victory of Mexican forces led by General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguin over the French occupational forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.

Wikipedia is ck51100's friend. :D But, yeah, it's to commemorate when they finally threw the Frog's out of the country.

It means you get to have a 'fiesta' in Spanish class! My favorite day in high school & college :)

"Mmmm, 7 layer bean dip at 9:45 in the morning!"

I look at it as a great way to find hot latin women on a Saturday.

It represents an opportunity to go to some spanish festivals and eat good mexican grub.

Cruel irony is she's allergic to limes, so not so much on the authentic. :csad:
But any other adult beverage that is lime free.

Damn...I don't think I've ever heard of someone that was allergic to limes. Is she allergic to all citrus fruits, or just limes?

Pyro, you need to come over to East Chicago, Indiana. That's basically been dubbed "Little Mexico" for years. Everybody in my neighborhood is hispanic.
