Infinity War Does Whatever a Spider Can - The Peter Parker/Spider-Man thread

I'm really curious how Peter gets the suit so quick. He sees the giant ring in NY, and in set photos it showed that he ditches the school bus so he's definitely headed [towards the ring] immediately. He wouldn't have any time going or even finding a way upstate to get the suit from the Avengers base.

I'm betting Karen might summon it to Peter akin to Tony being able to do so with his suits. Either that or Tony sees Peter running into action and can't stop him, so summons it himself.

I really hope we aren't having a relapse to CW & going back to a fully CGI Spiderman suit again in IW.. :csad:

Hopefully it was just because of the nature of the shot(s) because as cool as that suit looks, it looks like a cut scene of a video game..

So does the shot of Iron Man just before he gets hit with a haymaker from Thanos

I can cut them some slack because its extremely hard to give Spidey realistic CG at times. I can get that. And I feel a large chunk of this movie is gonna be slapped and glossed with CGI. So we better get used to just being happy all these characters are in what is likely(regardless of CG quality) going to be an amazing film.

Good point in a way. Especially with the scheduling for these films.

Thanos has great CGI

I just hate that Spider-Man CGI looks worse than it did in TASM series because I feel that's unacceptable

Who says that is immediately after? I bet he runs into Tony and co on the way, and is given an upgrade.

Something has to happen for Peter or Tony to say, "time to upgrade". His current costume alone already had an advanced combat mode and tons of other upgrades.

I'm betting Spidey gets hurt and Tony calls in the suit to help him.

Was bummed it wasn't anywhere in Homecoming so I'm really glad the Russos brought it in.

It's a busy time for our old pal Spider-Man! Lol.

Nah, my guess is that Peter sees the big Wheel in the Sky and immediately resolves himself to go in and do his part to help protect New York City as Spider-Man, but Tony goes all Protective Parental Figure on him and says he's only allowed to join in if he takes the upgraded suit for this.

The big thing that I'm noticing about the new suit is that it seems to be way more "armor-y" than Peter's regular suit. It's probably less about Peter having all the bells and whistles he got in Homecoming and more just that Tony wants to make sure Peter is wearing more protective gear for this.

I mean, just look at Peter's track record as Spidey so far in the MCU...

1. Fighting several Avengers in a brawl where no one had any intention of killing someone and Spidey most notably fights a Captain America that's going easy on him.
2. Two different Shockers
3. Vulture

And now he's trying to take Thanos on one-on-one.

Meanwhile, Tony already saw Rhodey get crippled by accidental friendly fire from Vision in Civil War and has been established as being overly protective of Peter in Homecoming with his attempts to try and get Peter to stay on low and let other people deal with Vulture.

My other guess is that Peter and Tony's beat-ups from Thanos in the trailer are probably in direct relation to one another. Thanos beats up one of them and the other tries to step in to save them, only to also get beat into a fine pulp.

Looks like Spidey is going be taking some serious punishment in this film.

Looks like he's going to be all in.
I never thought they'd actually have him go up
against Thanos head to head.

Yeah wasn't expecting that from a young Spidey. Hope he has some great scenes. He could have been quipping like crazy in the Wakanda battle but looks like he's got the harder job.

I wonder then how will Aunt May fit in? I mean she basically knows her nephew is Spider Man now and with Thanos and company about to invade Earth that puts her in danger so I wonder where May will end up in Infinity War

I want the spider-sense to be in every Spidey film at least once.

I'm hoping they do the talk in IW, though they'll probably save it for Homecoming 2.

The odd thing about the MCU Spider-Man is that Uncle Ben isn't mentioned (yet). So Peter Parker does NOT seem to have a never-ending emotionally-stunting guilt complex.
"I can't stop being Spider-Man, because Uncle Ben is always going to be dead and it's always going to be my fault instead of the man who killed him."

I hope if Uncle Ben appears, he is played by an actor who played John F. Kennedy at some point, as Cliff Robertson and Martin Sheen did. Patrick Dempsey, maybe?

Possible spoilers.

Well, it was coming eventually. Just hope it's only used this once.

Can't wait for Spider-Man in an Avengers movie. I know we got Civil War, which was close. However he's in this one from start to finish. His screen time may be similar, but to see him in it from the get go is just special.

I'd like to see her at least in a cameo. Can't imagine it will be much more than that.

OH MY GODDDDDDDDDD!!! That looks incredible!

I wonder if the suit has repulsors? I mean if you're gonna Iron Spider, might as well "IRON" Spider, get me? Pretty sure the gold on his wrists are web shooters. All in all I'm digging the texture and pattern of the suit.
