Infinity War Does Whatever a Spider Can - The Peter Parker/Spider-Man thread

True. I was going off "on paper." Like how cap beat him in civil war because the script called for it, despite "on paper" he's way less powerful.

I saw that more as Cap Out smarted him.
That's one thing I love that they do with Cap. It's like he has his own Friday in his head. Every big fight he gets knocked around at the beginning, but then he seems to analysis things & comes back to win.

Yeah. He is the superior strategist and adapts to make up the difference in power level.

I really hope that after Avengers 4, when we eventually get to the fifth Avengers film with a new team, Holland's Spider-Man becomes a mainstay for the next group.

A part of me hopes that with Feige saying on how Homecoming 2 will bring things back from cosmos and onto the streets, that Holland's Spider-Man will be placed at the forefront for representing the next batch/generation of heroes in the MCU.

I like him better underground with the New Avengers, but they need at least Luke and Danny for that to truly work. Maybe Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel and Hawkeye (definitely) as well.

SO excited that Spider-Man gets to be part of Infinity War! Any interaction he has with anyone should be comedy gold. Rocket, Hulk, Thor, Star-Lord, Cap, Ant-Man...I mean the list is endless! Plus we get the Iron Spider!

It's nothing like the Iron Spider from the comics.

help out at the neighborhood level. stop street crime, stop some henchmen. I'm not sure how Spidey's going to do in a one on one battle with Thanos, however.

That is where I prefer Spider-Man. with the Avengers he feels like curry on my chocolate pie

You do know that Spidey has gone up against Thanos several times over the last four decades, right? Fighting the Mad Titan isn't all about brute strength. Quick wits and pure luck are often integral to taking him down.

is he expected to have a big role in IW? or simply something along the lines of his role in CW?

Kevin Feige said Spider-Man would have slightly more screentime than in Civil War, but that'd be about on par with that.

"I think it might feel bigger a little bit because of Homecoming and because of what people know from it," Feige revealed, "but it’s about on par with [Civil War]."

Again, makes sense since he's sharing a movie with at least 21 other superheroes.

I've heard IW will be about 2 hours and 45 minutes - if there are 22 characters in the film that's an average of 7.5 minutes per character...

22 heroes on the poster + Thanos and Black Order = 27 + Okoye, Shuri and Wong = 30
Which means 5.5 minutes per character.

But some characters will have a lion's share while some might have just a little more than a cameo.

That's good to hear. That he won't overshadow the rest.

I wanna see guys like Falcon get some decent screentime

Spider Man and Star Lord interacting with each other would actually be quite a trip in the sense that it would be funny as hell

Would it, though?

They're so similar that I can't imagine there'd be much conflict between them. Spider-man meeting Quake would have more comedy potential.

Quake is not gonna be in this stop spamming every thread with Agents of SHIELD stuff. It stopped being funny a long time ago.

Why would it be 'funny'? Quake should definitely be in this film. She's as much a superhero as Spider-Man.

I never saw Spider-Man having a huge role in IW.
What exactly would he be able to do against Thanos?
I always imagined him just having an extended cameo role.

especially with him still being so inexperienced. I do want to see his instant kill mode just for fun. I imagine him saying sorry to Stark in the con trailer is the end for him. He probably just takes a beating and then has to rest. A4 he probably helps fights minions not on the front lines.

Shoot a string of web at the Infinity Gauntlet in order to claim it from Thanos. Shoot web at Thanos to trap him against a boulder. Weave a web around Thanos's body.
