Donald Blake in Thor

Well from what we've seen and heard from an interview we're assuming Thor's EARTH Name only will be Donald Blake.

Stan Lee's cameo perhaps?

Seriously though, I'd guess that maybe Thor assumes the name on Earth. Can't see how they are gonna work in the comic book Blake, unless they are making him a separate person rather than Thor's human identity.

Actually Stan operates a truck at the Crater site lol

I'm guessing Thor uses the name like Sigurd Jarlson identity. He basically is Thor but not in the superhero costume

These Stan Lee cameo are getting stale.
personally I would have loved to see Stan play the Guy who got Gamma poisoning in Incredible Hulk, but coming into the hopistal Jane Foster's at to get a follow up.
It would tie the two movies together nicely

I still like them. Most non-comic fans don't even notice them, it's just a nice little easter egg for the fans, and must be nice for him to be involved in the films too (even if just for a few seconds).

so that explains it eh? Why would it be so unusual for a 6'3 body builder to have a first name of Donald after all? Lame... it's not like he's gonna be playing a doctor on Earth or anything. At least I hope not.

Junior though... not his problem the old man was an egomaniac who had to give his kid his name. And if was the mom's idea then shame on her too...

That's why I'm a staunch believer that children should be able to name themselves. 'Cept we'd mostly get names like Frankenstein or ferbboolagullabbatux7.

Hey, you never know, they could just call him "Blake."

That would make both parties happy, people get their Donald Blake reference and at the same time he's still Thor.

heh during the MTV interviews just before the Marvel panel Kenneth had dodged the question about Don Blake, lol THEN Chris got to the chair and muffed it saying On earth he's don and Stopped lol

I like them. The guy created/adapted Thor as much as he did Spider-Man or the FF, so it's only fair to put him in the film. Just a shame they don't recognize his brother as much, since he scripted plenty of early Thor appearances, including his first appearance.

As for Blake, I'm guessing it'll be Thor's Earth name. He'll be like, "I am Thor!" and Jane will be like, "Yeah, that's not gonna work around here..."

Do we know the name of Skarsgard's character yet? Maybe they'll separate Blake out into his own character who'll act as a mentor of sorts to Thor. Thor would still technically be learning about humanity from Don Blake, just in a very different way. ;)

The FF: RotSS has the greatest Stan Lee cameo to date. And the fact that it happened in the comic is even better.

If Thor is given the name Donald Blake, it'd be a nice little Easter egg for the fans, and I think it's the best way to do it. And as more news released about this movie, it justifies my belief early on that having a separate actor portraying Dr. Blake simply won't have worked, and I'm glad Kenneth Branagh went with having Thor assuming dual identities instead of just sticking to the comics as closely as possible.

what was that? (I have stayed away from the atrocities known as the Fantastic Four movies :whatever:)

EDIT: och and on-topic: this is apperantly one of the t-shirts marvel studios was giving away at their Thor-booth at comic-con:

Stan Lee was denied into Reed and Sue's wedding saying that he's Stan Lee.

I hate easter eggs like when they use a characters names just to wink at us & then in the future if a new director wants to use that character he can't because it was an easter egg & used in another movie. Like when they used Trask in X-men 3. They made him a gov't agent & not Bovivar Trask the builder of the Sentinels.

I've read my fair share of Thor comics, but I'm not fully versed on the topic, so if this sounds stupid, you know why. Perhaps when the Destroyer fails, Loki uses magic to stick Thor in the body of a cripple....?

Not stupid at all Arman.
Where that would be a cool idea, I'm pretty sure Thor ends up helping SHEILD in that last part of the film, it's just not in the Trailer.
By the way, very early on they have said there is no Lame Don Blake in the movie. They didn't say Don Blake wasn't going to be Thor's earth alias.
