In the video games, he's noted as being the strongest of the four, though ironically he would always choose to solve issues with tech as opposed to brute force. But nothing is deadlier than a nerd that knows how to fight. He's also the most curious of the four when it comes to their origin, as well as new experiences. Not to the point of recklessness of Raphael or Michelangelo, but still his curiosity has gotten the better of him at times.

I hope they show more of that in this film. It lacked in the previous movies.

Although in Secret of the Ooze, it is conveyed that Don is the more intellectual turtle out of the bunch with him helping out with the TGRI guy, but thats about it. Atleast from what I remember.
