So they didn't get huge parts in this movie. Leonardo had a very strong story about the leader reuniting the band of brothers. Raph was the grumpy rebel trying to be a hero his own way. Donny and Mikey just sorta fell into the background and served more as comic relief. If a sequel was done that gave them the sort of story time the other two turtles had in the first movie, what would you want their lessons to be? For example, Leo learned that he's needed as a leader and inspiration. Raph learned to be a team player. What do Mikey and Donny need to learn?

I would say force Mikey into situations that forced him to grow up a little. He can still be Mikey, but he acts like he's ten and relies on his brothers to pick up the slack. Life can be fun, but it's not a game.

I think Donny should learn to take action more often.

It almost sounded like Donatello and Raphael were both being given lessons from Splinter about possible leadership. When Raph and Don were talking about Raph always solving things with fear, Splinter lectured Donatello on being mindful of the strengths and weaknesses of each of them so they could be a strong family.

During my second viewing, I got the feeling Splinter was considering Donatello as a possible leader replacement if Leo decided not to come back.

Then when Raph is telling Splinter what he did with the fight with Leo, Splinter is telling him how his qualities are admirable for a leader as well, but only when tempered with compassion.

And they're working on Mikey. Remember towards the end when Mikey made one of his jokes, Donatello says "Mikey, remember our talk."

I'm looking forward to the other 4 prequel comics. I just wish Dreamwave had continued their series that started off based on the most recent animated show (before it was changed into Fast Forward)

I remember an episode of the old series dealt with the other Turtles not taking Mikey too seriously, so he ran off to prove everyone wrong.

was that the one where he got shrunk?

oooh they should totally go there in a movie

Yeah, it would work since Mikey is the young one. The others treat him like a baby.

There´s another episode called What is Michelangelo good for? In that episode the turtles are kidnapped by a mad scientest who wants to use them for his experiments and Mikey has to save them. It´s pretty interesting. Splinter tells him he needs to save his brothers and Mikey says he´s not a leader like Leo, not as smart as Donnie and not even a wiseguy like Raph.

I can picture that in movie format and I would love it to death. I hope the next movie would focus on Michelangelo and Donatello.

Oh and Shredder, don't forget about Shredder and Krang.

I remember that exchange but I don't remember the episode.

could anyone summerize the episode, cause i don't remember as well.

I didn't like that Mike and Don were supporting cast in this movie. I hope that the sequel centers on these two and that Michealangelo gets to be more than just a doofus. He's apparently pretty enterprising as he has his own business... he's the social guy so he should be a people person... he shouldn't just be a doofus.

And Don's a deep guy... he should have a chance to show out every once in a while as the thinker and the problem solver.

What if the next movie revolved around competition between Mike and Don over, say, a female or some such... (since they're more people oriented than the combative Leo and Raph)... I actually think and Don-Mike fight could be pretty interesting... interesting indeed. I think something fun would be if they switched weapons and colors to throw off an enemy. Of course Leo would still be in charge and Raph would still be hardcore, but if we could get Mike and Don to shine, I'd feel like the new TMNT franchise was fair, and worthy of the four turtles. If they're only going to concentrate on two, they should only have two.

I agree. Mikey fell and hurt himself way too many times.

I say focus on Mikey & Don in the sequel & then end the sequel with Shredder returning & the third movie can feature the brothers being a true team.

Eh, I don't know. I love all of them, but it didn't bother me that they didn't really get there time to shine. This was a story I believe that had to be told for TMNT to be taken seriously, and it was/is.

They'll get their moments, but remember they had to do a lot in this movie and keep it at a resonable time. I think they did a great job, and although Mikey and Donny seemed like supporting characters I enjoyed them as much as the rest of the film.

Also, Donny had the best introduction, I laughed for like, 10 minutes when I saw that.
