Horror Dr. Lecter Invites you to Dinner. The ''Hannibal'' Thread - Part 5

All Three Seasons of Bryan Fuller’s “Hannibal” Leaving Netflix in June

Nooooo! Netflix put the series on the service 11 months ago!

Might have to buy all three seasons of the show, which I wanted to do for some time,

Yeah that sucks. They removed it from Netflix last year in my country. I wanted to watch everything all over again, but I never did unfortunately. (So many other shows to watch) That's one thing I hate about streaming, better to just buy the shows/movies you love so you'll always have them.

I never even really liked Silence of the Lambs, but this somehow became one of my favourite shows ever.

When I read the title, my first reaction was "I'd make sure he's out of legumes and wine".

Did you see the grey-haired sexy new photo of Hugh?

*scrolls through Twitter, right past this tweet*

“Well I see some twink has hired a body-builder to be their personal trainer…”

*stops, doubles back*

Oh God. The twink is Mads.
Not bad for an older guy. :)

Even though there have been rumours about Universal developing a new film with Hannibal Lecter, I’d much rather this came back with S4.

ScreenRant: At one point, wasn't there talk of more Hannibal?

Bryan Fuller: Yeah. Well, it's complicated now because Martha De Laurentiis died and she had a certain section of the rights, and now, Thomas Harris is trying to get the rights all under one umbrella. And I think that's going to take a couple of years of straightening out. But the entire cast wants to come back: Mads, Hugh, Lawrence, Katie, Caroline – like everybody’s in. It's just a matter of: Will the rights be able to be figured out again?

Would be awesome, but won't get my hopes up.

Saying you want one of the biggest, most in-demand stars around for the revival of your long-cancelled series feels like the ultimate “Yeah, this ain’t ever actually happening.”

Which could actually be for the best. The elephant in the room when it comes to any attempt to reboot or revive is that, after a certain point, it’s just not the same show anymore. The actors have all aged, the writers have somewhat lost their touch after so long away from the show, putting a broadcast series on streaming just feels odd, etc. Sometimes you just gotta let that dream go.

I'd be down for a TV movie like Deadwood tho, but please, no Zendaya.

I remember when Fuller said he wanted Elliot Page for Clarice. Hard to believe it's been ten years since the show went off the air.
