Holy ****!!! I never thought Id see something like that on NBC! Keeping it in partial contrasting light and darkness was brilliant. It was so much more effective than having it lit and in full view.

Oh my gawd that was beautifully gross...

Pitt owned this.

I love that Hannibal is more disgusted by the man child than slicing up someone haha.

When I read Hannibal years ago when it was released, I imagined what I saw last night, but I never thought I would actually see it. It was one of the worst things I've ever seen, and I loved it! They did such a great job with it. I'm so glad they snuck this in before the big capture. What I really want is for the show to continue on through the story of Hannibal (the book), and shoot the end of the book the way Thomas Harris wrote it. I won't give it away for those that didn't read the book, but does anyone know if they show-runners plan to take the show that far( if it doesn't get cancelled) ?

Seasons 1-3 are their own stories based on hints in the novels, 4 is Red Dragon, 5 is Silence of the Lambs, 6 is Hannibal, and 7 is their own original ending to wrap it up.

That was some of the most disturbing **** I've ever seen, even if it was happening to a deserving victim.

But those poor dogs. :csad:

That sounds incredible! I really hope season 6 follows the book religiously. I feel like the emphasis in the the last episode on Hannibal's ability to change people's behavior is a way of starting to lay the foundation for what he does to Clarice in Hannibal. I can't wait for seasons 6 and 7!!!

Given how well they did Mason, I can't wait to see how Fuller and co do Dolarhyde.

I know one thing, I'm gonna hate Hannibal being incarcerated. It's gonna totally change the tone of the show. How the Hell he gonna cook gourmet **** in the looney bin? We are so seriously setting ourselves up for disappointment with the whole seven seasons outline. As much as I want that to happen I just don't see it actually going that far. We are crazy lucky we're getting season 3 right now. Fuller has stated though that his goal is to make this the definitive version of the Hannibal story. I dunno about you guys but the characters and actors have sure usurped all the other actors' portrayals in my mind.

With the low costs of the show and the deal they just signed with Amazon, I think it's a lot more possible than I once did. But I'm going to love the hell out of Hannibal getting caught personally.

I'll like him getting caught I'm just talking more about the tone if the show once he isn't cooking every episode. It's a staple of the show at this point. But hell, I don't see how he'll be able to even keep that up next season either. Damn I love how this show just always keeps you guessing. It's very unpredictable

A possibility is that [maybe] cooking for him will be what fly-fishing was for Will in the asylum. Besides, [if I remember correctly] the books indicates that he contributed to cookbooks while in the asylum, so I imagine they'll have some scenes of him writing articles or answering questions for texts on food.

That's a really good idea. It wouldn't be 'real', but the audience would still get to see their food-porn.

Personally I'm excited to see Hannibal behind bars, I love watching him manipulate everyone -even from the confines of a cell.

My hope is that Will's role post-Red Dragon season will be basically Hannibal's watcher to make sure he doesn't go too far with anyone who tries to contact him for cases. I think it's a good role, and good set-up for not-Clarice

As long as we get to Red Dragon, I'll be ok.

Totally. A big sigh of relief when they got Season 3, because at the very least they will be able to complete their prequel story which will fit in as a nice companion to the movies (if they don't get a fourth season).

Red Dragon is my favorite of the books, so that's the one I'm most excited for too. I DO want to see them be able to do SotL and Clarice properly, but if they can't, as long as we at least get Fuller's adaptation of Red Dragon, I won't be too disappointed.

Great episode! Truly and unbelievably disturbing yet so soooo satisfying.
Is it just me or is Gillian Anderson incredibly mesmerizing as Bedelia? I could watch and listen to her just read a book.

There's a twist left here, there's no way Hannibal is gonna make his confession over candlelight to Jack. Hannibal is going to do something that provokes Jack, and I've a feeling it will be Alana that is going to be the lamb. I just find it hard to believe that Hannibal is simply being played by Will into trying to murder Jack.

I kind of wonder, if they do get the opportunity to do Silence of the Lambs, whether or not they'd actually write Will out of the series, or find a way to insert him into the story somehow. I have a feeling it would be the former, but I'd hate to say goodbye to Dancy.

Especially with his commentary on the fish dish, and how they were confused as to who was chasing who.

I also found it a bit jarring that Alana was missing from this episode and Hannibal didn’t even seem bothered by the absence of his girlfriend. Hannibal has an ace up his sleave no doubt about it.

They have said they want to find out what Will is doing after Red Dragon. So he'll probably be in it and if not he will return for the final season.
