Dragon Age 3

That makes sense. Bioware was talking about trying to figure out a way to import decisions without actually having the game saves there.

I haven't played any of the Dragon Age games yet, but my love for Mass Effect has interested me in picking the first game up. Should I get the version that comes with all of the DLC or just get the regular edition?

The one that has all the DLC should be as cheap as the regular edition by now. Find that one.

The Ultimate edition is like $20-30 depending on the retailer so its definitely worth the buy. I don't think the DA dlc is very good outside of The Stone Prisoner, and the gift/prank items but you can't argue with the price tag.

Totally forgot about Awakening. I thought it was okay for what it was, the fanbase seems to like it more than I did - again can't argue with the price.

Subscribing just in case.

Origins was a great game, but 2...I STILL haven't finished it. I'm not sure I have it in me to do 3 runs (Rogue, War, and Mage) like I did in Origins.

I just hope they go back to Origins combat. Or atleast move away from the button mash fest, and boring endless enemy waves, 2 was. I'd also like to see the dialogue options, and character development from Origins return as well.

I read that they said they were going to look at Skyrim closely for 3. So I'm thinking this might be more open world, while still being 3rd person, and having similar combat. Which is fine with me. I just don't want them to drift away from what made the first game so good.

I liked most of the DLC, mainly because I was content to simply play more Dragon Age Origins. I'm not going to say it was stellar DLC (though it's kinda hard to imagine not having Shale around), but I was happy with my purchase. Awakenings, was prob my fave though.

Dragon Age 2 DLC, I'm mixed. It wasn't bad. I just didn't like 2 much. It felt like prolonging the agony, lol. Except for the Emporium, that was a waste of $10. I should have looked that DLC up first, was soooo disapointed when I realized what it was. No quest, the armor was "meh" and expensive, the best part was the ability to respec, which Awakening had as well.

^ for the 360 version, I think all of the DLC should be on the 2nd disc. I don't believe there are any download codes.

I just picked up the PS3 version used, and it had no manual or code sheet. All of the DLC content was on the 1 Blu-Ray disc along with the main game.

so I think you should be fine getting it used, as long as both discs are included for the 360 version.

edit: the one DLC you may miss out on might be the DLC code for the Blood Dragon Armor. if I recall, that was printed on a sheet included with the box. I'll have to check my PS3 later to see if that was included on the disc.

edit: I did check my PS3 version, and the Blood Dragon DLC is included on the disc. So, I'm guessing for the 360 version, the Blood Dragon DLC should be on the 2nd disc.

and as for Dragon Age 3 being delayed till the next gen of consoles........

I'd be a little sad and disappointed, as I was really looking forward to playing it on my PS3. I'd hate to feel like I'm being forced to buy a new console to continue with this franchise.......

has anyone from Bioware officially commented on that rumor??

perhaps it was just a mistranslation......

I don't bring news about DA3, but I thought this might be the best thread to ask general DA questions. So I got back into DAO, after putting it on the shelf like over a year ago. Naturally, I'm clueless again about most of the stuff in the game, especially when it comes to DLC. Mostly the story related stuff like Leliana's Song, The Golems of Amgarrak and Witch Hunt.

So my questions are, when do they take place? And how do saves work? I know Leliana's Song takes place before the entire DAO adventure, and I vaguely remember being able to collect some special gear. Do I have to play it first, before playing the main storyline to import the armor, or can I play it at any time during the main story? Don't know anything about the Golem DLC. And Witch Hunt, does that take place after the main story, or after the Awakening expansion? Or is it simply up to me when I decide to play it?

I believe you have to do Leliana's Song and then start a new game for that gear to pop up in your Origins' inventory.

The order for the other content is Awakening>Golems of Amgarrak>Witch Hunt

Meh... I'm already over 40 hours into the game. So much for Leliana's Song. Thanks for the help.

I just checked and it apparently will show up in your inventory, regardless of new character or not.

Shows what I know. :o

about Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening I think is silly you can not port the Warden Commander Armor Set

and And Even the player that did not buy Warden's Keep should get it when Starting Awakening

is silly your character become the Warden Commander but the Wardens do not give him a Warden Commander Armor Set

Man, if I hadn't spent all that time playing on PS3, I would have bought the PC version a long time ago.

I read some of the fans have a problem with this what you guys think about Bioware making some decisions Canon over Others like King Alistair of Ferelden in Dragon Age: The Silent Grove

They have to establish SOME cannon to keep the world going. Let it happen.

I think I remember reading a comment from maybe Gaider that they wouldn't allow the previous games to stand in the way of storytelling.

Honestly, it doesn't bother me that much. I think maybe its time for BW to take a step back from all the import save stuff, not get rid of it altogether since I still think it serves a purpose, but downplay it a bit.

I liked it. I see it getting more hate on the BSN though. It has its flaws, but I think what it adds outweighs what's wrong with it. I really liked the talking Darkspawn disciples and such.
