Animation Dragonball HQ - Part 1

I don't know about anyone else, but I really hate on how stupid and dumb the show has made Goku as of late.

And I can't believe that Goku's stupidity is going to be the reason why one universe and all of its inhabitants will be at risk from being completely destroyed by Zen Chan.

At the rate that they're going, Goku is going to end up being more of a anti-hero than hero.

I know the character loves to fight, but his fighting appetite has led to some big disasters, which he has yet to acknowledge.

Is it just me or is Goku going evil? Well, maybe less evil and more callous and uncaring towards everyone.

He's gone from a really nice guy who was willing to just help anyone for whatever reason to some crazy super powered jackass that just wants to beat on people. :p

That and Vegeta is actually nicer than him. What the hell happened? I think Pilaf found the Dragon balls again and screwed up a wish. "I was that darn Goku was less of a nice guy and more of a jerk. That way we could beat him!"

Edit: Maybe he's going senile! Old age is catching up on him!

We all know Goku is a bit more on the simple side, but as he grew up, I actually thought he became a person of at least average intelligence. But ever since Super started, they've turned him into a super unlikable idiot. It's amazing how Vegeta gets all this great character development, but Goku gets dumber with each new Episode.

To me, it seems Goku's actually getting meaner. I mean, he seemed to understand how dangerous Zeno could be, he just didn't... Seem to care. I mean, he smugly smirks at Beerus and then Beerus almost kills him right there. It was weird.

And Goku experienced first hand how Zeno wiped out an entire Universe. He was told there used to be 18 Universes, and Zeno wiped out 6 because he was mad. He plays a goddamn game where he flicks and destroys Planets. Yet it doesn't even dawn on Goku how asking Zeno to hold that Universal tournament could potentially be a bad idea.

Goku is still great in the beginnings of Dragon Ball and Z, but I am so done with the character in Super.

Basically:

Don't remind Zeno about the tournament. He's unpredictable. It could be disastrous.
Hes not so bad lol
*goes there* *sees the Zenos casually destroy a bunch of planets*
So how bout dat dere tournament?

:lmao:

Sounds like they're going too far with it in Super, but he's always been kind of idiot who did a lot of counter-productive things from DB onward. I mean, think about a lot of the ways he's tackled villains through DBZ.

He could have easily killed Frieza on Namek, but he let Frieza reach his full power after destroying Namek just because he wanted to see Frieza's full power.

He talked everyone else out of finding and killing Dr. Gero before he could finish the Androids because he wanted to see how powerful they were.

He could have killed Majin Buu in SSJ3 mode, but chose not to, so the kids could get a victory, or whatever, which lead to the deaths of most of Earth and a narrow victory over Kid Buu in the end.

He's always been a short-sighted person. Living in that moment and all. I guess it's his character flaw, but it makes him look pretty bad throughout the series for sure. I mean, at the end of Z, he leaves with Uub to train him to get to Kid Buu's level, saying it won't see his family for years, despite the fact that he has instant transmission, so he can teleport anywhere in the world at any time.

Yeah, I have no issue with Goku's development here as he's always been like that, especially more so in the original Japanese eps than the Americanized ones where it's toned down a little.

It's definitely not too out of character for Goku, it's just too bad that all the character development seems to only go to Vegeta, and Goku seems to actually be regressing. You'd think after everything that has happened, Goku might have learned a few lessons.

I think the worst decision he made in Z was definitely not stopping Gero immediately. With Freezer and Buu I can give him a pass. He fought Freezer at full power, because he wanted to humiliate him, and when Freezer threw away the second chance he got, Goku obliterated him. And with Buu, he wanted the kids to win, because he didn't want them to always rely on him. Goku can't always come back from the dead. In Z he actually showed some growth. Like when he decided to stay dead, because he believed Bulma was right and if he were to stay around, the world would constantly be in danger.

But now in Super, he actively puts the world in danger. He seems to actually be more naive than he was as a child. I need Beerus to Hakai his ass. We always have Whis around to reverse time.

Well, Beerus seemed to be ready to kill him right then and right there and mentions he's been to lenient with him so hopefully we see something interesting in that respect and maybe he can learn a little.

Then again if the ending of Z is still their endgame Goku will still (selfishly, if you ask me) leave his family to go training with Uub (someone he doesn't even know) so who knows.

Super has been a very interesting look into Goku for me. I grew up with Oceans/Toonami dubs and while I always knew from reading the manga, that the dub made Goku smarter than he truly was.

This episode...Goku pretty much crossed a line and he "willingly" put universes at risk. Beerus had every right to vaporize him in this episode.

Is Majin Buu still a major threat? Like, could he up and destroy the world at the drop of a hat, or transform into Super Buu etc?

Buu is no threat anymore and there is no danger of him turning into Super Buu. Everything inside him that was evil, took the form of Kid Buu, and they separated completely in the final battle of the Buu Saga.

You know something is off when the God of Destruction and Vegeta, the Prince of ALL Saiyans, come off more benevolent and we'll mannered than Goku, the protagonist of the story.

Not the first time Goku has put others in danger for his selfishness. From sparing Piccolo and Vegeta just to fight them, giving a senzu to Cell and to not killing Buu when he had the chance just to give Goten and Trunks their try. Tho it seemed purposeful this time as even the music and his tone of voice changed when he taunted Beerus about the button.

How about dat new opening doe

Anybody playing Xenoverse 1/2? Dusted off the game and went back to it. With the upcoming arc I got back in the mood to create new characters. Trying to make one new character of each race. And I try to make them as unique as possible, so they don't look like copies of previous characters. Though sometimes I can't help it. I like the Cooler head too much.

Here's my Freezer race character from the first game, together with my Namekian from Xenoverse 2.

And my female Saiyan that took forever to finalize. Biggest issue is that I barely like any of the suits on the female characters.

I still have Xeno 1 on my PS4. I haven't played it in a while though.

Funny thing is I'm just missing a few trophies to 100% it. Mostly just the online stuff and get all the attacks which I can't be bothered with.

My first guy was a Namekian named Steve T. Namek and my second was a Sayian named Filthy Monkey. I like my dumb names.

Your character from DBX ports over to the sequel? That's news.

When you import your character they get a big statue and you get all the skills/costumes they have. I think anyway.

Yup, that's pretty much it. Some kinda Holographic monument for your Hero from the first game, and whatever your hero is wearing and the skills he's got equipped, will be transferred over to Xenoverse 2.

Sharing a couple more shots of my latest character. I am really happy with her.

May I present to you Cell vs Sonic and Knuckles...

I like it as much as the others but in different ways.
