Animation Avengers: Earth Mightiest Heroes - Part 2

Ultimate Avengers is good.
Doctor Strange is amazing.
Next Avengers is pretty awesome too.

the ultimate avengers movies were good but since i prefer the 616 univers to the ultimate universe i like avengers emh better

man, I REALLY despised that Young Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow, or whatever the hell it was called...

See, I liked that one better than the "Ultimate Avengers" movies. I just thought they were so poorly paced.

It was called Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow. I didn't like it much either. Really didn't like what they did with Thor there.

He went to be King and couldn't really commit to being an Avenger. It made sense.

I really liked Next Avengers. I've seen it a few times. I despite Tales of Asgard, though.

I liked Next Avengers. It was fine for what it was, a fun gateway Avengers stories for younger viewers. Ultron was perfect in it and really the pre-cursor to Ultron in EMH.

It's one thing where a guy can't commit to being on a team and another to abandon humanity completely and leave it in ruins when you spent several years beforehand trying to defend it. People say that Bryan Singer's Superman came off as the irresponsible with the whole Jason White thing; well that's nothing compared to Thor's portrayal.

Also, i Hated on how they made Hulk the person who single handily defeated Ultron in the film. Hulk could have saved the day and the earth but instead he stays secluded and allows the world to go to hell...does that mean that he's really the strongest in the universe if no one could beat Ultron, the same person that Hulk defeated?

Agreed. Thor actually manages to one-up SR Superman's irresponsible parenting by leaving his kid in a war zone with a teammate whom he knows has a history of substance abuse and womanizing.

I'm guessing part of the reason Thor got screwed over is that it was 2008 and he didn't have a big movie that year, but Iron Man and Hulk did, so they got preferential treatment over him.

EMH handled Thor pretty well so I hope "Assembled" doesn't drop the ball with him.

Wait, are you telling me that America has yet to officially air the final episodes for EMH's???

Holy crap...what is with their schedule??? If that's really the case, then damn, thank the good Lord that it aired in other countries way ahead of time otherwise they be matching on how crappy Young Justice's schedule is on CN.

They haven't even finished releasing the 2nd season on dvd in the u.s. hell we haven't even gotten the first complete season on dvd/blu ray.

Can anyone explain to me when that became a thing? I don't remember "Batman:TAS" or "X-Men" or "Gargoyles" airing in other countries months before they debuted in the US.

Well they sell the shows over seas rights alot quicker then they can do whatever they want with the show. Though they have calmed down on airing the shows before they air over here.

Ya in volumes but not a complete first season boxset.

Bumping this old thread because I've been revisiting this series--haven't watched it in years and this show is still absolutely fantastic. It doesn't get talked about enough in the great comic book animated adaptations conversations. This is such a loving recreation of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's stories--the animation style is even very Jack Kirby-esque and yet it has a very modern edge.

I'm grateful we got 52 episodes out of this but man, they could have done so much more. I would have LOVED to see this show's take on Thanos and the Infinity Stone saga.

It definitely wasnt worth cancelling in favor of its successor....

It was the last great Marvel cartoon, period. Literally everything that came after this show was astonishingly bad.

Don’t tell that to a certain user who has commented in this thread before. They’ve gone on in the past about how terrible the character designs were compared to Avengers Assemble, and how that show was so much better and popular because of the viewership it got, as if that means anything.

They’ve also said Spectacular Spider-Man wasn’t that good either, so, maybe not the best judge of quality.
