Animation Family Guy

I thought the episode was great. Exceeded my expectations.

There were actually moments where I did in fact have some pretty good laughs. Just loved the dynamic between the two families and really how they put it front in center the differences between them (Family Guy/Pawtucket & Duff/The Simpsons) The back in forth between Peter and Homer about how one is a knockoff and the other isn't good anymore was great.

Just real quality all around.

Great episode. Didn't like seeing Homer get crushed by the UFO though. It made it feel like Peter won the fight, and it should always be a tie with those two.

Real missed opportunity not having Brian, the outspoken atheist, interact with the super-preachy Ned Flanders.

Peter was extra harsh to Meg in this one. I hope in the final episode, she finally gets her revenge on Peter for all of his abuse.

Well the funny thing about that is we actually had a episode in the past where Meg finally unleashed her anger on everyone in the house who ever abused her, and she ended up turning everyone upside down emotionally, causing a major power shift in the house and making everyone realize on how crappy they all were. But the episode ended with Meg wanting things to go back to the original status quo since everyone being so "off" was affecting her as well.

This almost felt like Family Guy paying tribute to The Simpsons. It's interesting that Stewie looked up to Bart rather than viewing him as a rival.

Yeah. I did go awe when he went to the chalkboard at the end

Lois: Maybe we'll visit again.

Marge: And maybe that time you can wear a bra.

:hehe:

This was great. Loved the Carl and Cleveland bit. The opening outrage satire was great also.

As it should be if you ask me. Respect those that came before you. Especially those that paved the way. Which is also why I liked how they showed a quick tip of the cap to The Flintstones.

If they had brought the Simpsons down to their level of humor I would've been pissed. That stuff works for Family Guy, not The Simpsons.

The fact that in many ways they seemed to be in awe of The Simpsons I really appreciated. Like Peter said, they may not be as good as the past but I respect them.

^Oh I agree, I appreciated that as well, I was just surprised by how well this was done. I think Seth and Co pretty much summed up how the Simpsons fanbase feels about the show.

The only exchange missing was Mr. Burns and Carter Pewterschmidt. That would have been awesome.

All in all, this was probably one of the best franchise crossovers I remember seeing.

That and Carter with Patty and Selma. They hate their fat in-laws and enjoy taking the piss out if them

I just realized Harry Shearer wasn't in the episode.

Love this..

That's not even funny, and I have a GREAT sense of humor!

It would have been better if Harry Shearer had been able to be involved. It needed Flanders and Burns.

This was inevitable when Seth guest voiced on the Simpsons two seasons ago.

There was also a cameo from Bob Belcher of Bob's Burgers.

It needed A Flanders moment. Also, we got a Bob's Burgers moment, I think a King of the Hill one would have been rad too.

My favorite moment had to be Homer kicking Peter and saying: "Road House!"

Oh, and Homer throwing a bunch of Emmys at Peter, and Peter saying "Hey no fair, I don't got any of those!"

Both shows have one guest actor in common: Kevin Michael Richardson. He's guest voiced on the Simpsons many times and is a regular on Seth's shows.

Needed some Patrick Stewart.

A wonderful episode... really surpassed all my expectations.

The only negative things I can think of is that the ''Chicken'' fight went on a tad too long and I would of liked more interaction between Marge and Lois.

Plus, I loved the little Roger cameo.
