My theory is that Jiren was once a god of destruction but stepped down from the position. We know Toppo is being trained to be a future god of destruction, so we know people take over for the previous.

That makes a lot of sense. Or he's similar to black Goku and absorbed a God.

He's just too powerful that I don't see how Hit is even going to stop him.

I'm sure that Hit has some secret technique, that will work momentarily. Then Jiren will stop him.

Hit is easily my favorite new character.

I liked the fight with Hit. Just wish someone would have tried to knock Jiren off the stage while he was immobilized.

So Jiren thinks none of the other fighters are worth his time. Goku must be pissed lol. I also want to see Golden Frieza start wrecking people.

went back they said no fusions.

We haven't seen Frieza go gold yet, and we haven't seen Gohan at full power either. That's what I'm waiting for.

Toei has surpassed expectations with him so far this arc no doubt about this. THis is almost reminiscent of Vegeta back on Namek.

I still hope they don't redeem him. So far he seems to have become a team player, but I want him to remain that irredeemable evil bastard that he is. I know Goku has a habit of turning enemies into allies, but Freezer's crimes are just too numerous.

THey would never redeem him. Toei isn't that dumb.

Most of his scenes, even when he's helping Universe 7, are presented in a very sinister light so I don't imagine that they're trying to redeem him.

I feel like he wants to wish himself into Zen Oh's position or something of the like. Making him a GoD seems like something that would be the best thing to do for everyone; it gives him power and the ability to reek some havoc, but at the same time he can't just flat out rule the universe or destroy everything. Then again, him gaining immortality is still his best option as he can go the Zamasu route, but why tread that territory again?

Good question. Frieza will always be my favorite dragon ball villain. Looking forward to what's coming next.

At this point I'd have loved to see Buu turn Jiren into chocolate, wouldn't have worked or chocolate jiren would fight back and beat up buu lol. Maybe Goku and vegeta will finally work together to defeat him?
