It wasn't really easy for Goku. He was already at his limit after a hellish battle with Frieza and couldn't even stop him with the mother of all Spirit bombs. Not to mention, he watched Frieza turn his best friend into literal powder right in front of him while he couldnt do anything. Not to mention, he had already been put through tough battles on Namek with the likes of Ginyu where he was severely injured. The healing process did raise his power level, which was previously established as a way for Saiyans to get stronger.

Everyone assumed it came so easy for Goten and Trunks because they were basically conceived when their dads were powerhouses. They turned super saiyans as pre-teens when their dads were well into adulthood to reach that level. Both boys were like years ahead of their fathers.

It wasn't easy for Gohan either. He could barely handle the transformation at first and had to spend a year just to be comfortable turning SS1. And that's after spending several years getting put through the ringer by Goku and Piccolo nonstop everyday.

The problem with midichlorians was that it made something mystical into biological. This ain't too bad as Super Saiyan has consistently being biological. This only explains why nobody from Planet Vegeta was able to become one and how the Super Saiyan became a myth. Tori has said in the past that half-breeds have more potential than regular saiyans thus with S Cells and gentle nature, Goten and Gohan transformed earlier than Goku.

Keep in mind he still says you need a certain battle power hence Vegeta able to transform. The longer you stay in a gentle environment and be pure of heart, the more S Cells you gain thus more likely to become a Super Saiyan (given the right amount of battle power). Vegeta's transformation was out of desperation rather than anger.

No. But once universe 3 is gone, I'm sure he'll fight Toppo.

He eliminated Cabba, Frost, the Yardrat (Jimeze) and some other nobody. He also briefly fought Gohan as a way to catch Frost off-guard. Other than that he’s pretty much been watching and making schemes. I expect him to make his move near the end of the tournament.

Seems like the 2018 movie will be about the history of the Saiyans, but not just U7. It's being said to feature the most Saiyan characters at any point of the series and the animation should be on par or better than Resurrection F.

This past episode was great. Too bad we have to wait two weeks for the next. Can't wait to see Vegeta challenge Jiren. The preview looks great especially with Takahashi doing the animation.
