personally, i loved the Buu saga- all of it.

honestly, i was more interested in the buu saga than i was the cell saga because i really didnt care about cell all that much. that character really didnt spark my interest as much as buu did

There were three things that I truly enjoyed about the Buu saga:

1. The whole Babidi subsaga is fantastic storytelling. The whole Spopovich/Namu mystery, Supreme Kai and Kibito in the background, and everything that leads to the hatching of Buu is glorious. The Buu saga peaks when Majin Vegeta kills himself and never recovers.

2. Vegeta living a domesticated life.

3. Gohan being established as the strongest fighter on Earth.

The Buu saga to me was just an incredibly long Super Saiyan wankfest. Also, fusions are dumb and Buu is a crappy villain.

I think the Buu saga could have worked, but only if they had gone along with the original plan and had Gohan be the protagonist of that arc with minimal Goku.

There is some good stuff in the Buu saga, don't get me wrong. I don't think it's all trash or anything, but I definitely think it's the most flawed of all the sagas (well, the sagas that count, I mean).

That was their chance to do it. Now that boat has sailed. Good for me. Goku makes Dragon Ball for me.

There's no going back now, yeah. Especially after Goku's arc in Battle of the Gods.

I think one of the keys to enjoying DBZ is understanding that everyone who isn't Goku either is, or will become over time, a scrub tier fighter.

Buu Saga gave us the epic Goku vs Vegeta we(well I did at least) had wanted for years. I mean SSJ2 Goku vs SSJ2 Vegeta! ****ing epic incarnate.

True. This is the problem with the undead loophole.

There is a some truth to this. :funny:

SO there is some footage leaking of Return of F. AWESOME!!!

Right well ok, i'm just now seeing this and its awesome. hahah

I ignored DBZ movies after the Androids one, I think.

Apparently the english dub comes out this summer.

I ignore anything involving Broly. He sucks. I'm sorry if you like him, but he is a prime example of a villain sue.

Brolly is like the Hulk on a show where everyone is the Hulk. He's just a bigger, stronger Hulk. He doesn't say much, he just attacks and he has a crappy story. His entire plot is Goku annoyed him, so murder him and everyone who is anywhere near him within the galaxy, then murder the galaxy. They did have a neat fight with Vegetto in DBM but besides that I don't really like him. I found most of the DBZ villains in the movies were kind of meh.

Dragon Ball Multiverse. Fan comic that does a tournament style what if thing. 20 universes where different things happened so they can various fights. Like what if Goku had the good knocked out of him again as a kid, what if Cell or Buu won in their sagas, things like that. They also do some of the backstories of various universes with the DBZ one being #18.

At the very least he had the best transformation scene in the franchise.

I feel the same way. Besides: if there's anyone I'd like to see take over after Goku, it's Vegeta.

I still miss the Teen Gohan school days. His insanity was never more apparent than in that part of the show.

Been watching Kai for the first time, kind of got the sweet tooth for it after all the new DBZ stuff. Watching it side-by-side with DB is pretty interesting, too.

It's been a long time since I watched the original DBZ, but man, this is great. I'm on episode 20 and they're already into the Freiza saga. Love the lack of filler. Only thing that I feel they shouldn't have cut is some of Goku's training with King Kai, but otherwise I think this is a much better experience. I know a lot of people missed the butt rock soundtrack of the English dub, but I barely remember it.
