"Dragonball" will be rebooted according to Fox rep! No continuation to DB:E!

well, fox didn't realize how popular dragonball was popular worldwide,

they also realize they they left a lot of money on the table

dbe has tainted the dragonball from the comic and anime,

if they are smart they'll start this reboot in space with Goku's father Bardock,
young King Vegeta, Frieza, King Cold, Guru, Nail, and the Saiyans

they could develope a story that the creator of dragonball only touched on...
Fail!

I think rather than reboot the franchise, Fox should consider salvaging it. Throw out the writers and director for better ones and do a genre shift to a more serious, action-focused one. The reason I suggest this is that it's a less blatant 'we messed up so we're redoing it again to see how much money we can still milk from it' move and you've gotten the Piccolo storyline out of the way and can now proceed with Vegeta and Freeza.

I'd really rather not have a sequel, not matter how much of a shift in tone it is. And I say that as someone who is not usually a gigantic fan of rebooting so soon. Just ignore the first one completely. They can start with Dragon Ball Z if they want or whatever, just as long as they completely abandon any connection with this film. This set up a terrible film universe and I don't want to see any more of it.

I hope this reboot actually happens, but doubt it ever will.

Lobo your forgetting... its still in the hands of the entity Known as FOX :(

I highly recommend them to wait for TLAB's release, see how it turns out and learn from it(whether is a successful movie or not)

If they move to another studio, if they wait five years or more, if they got another scriptwriter, if they got another director, if they got good/talented actors (exept for Emmy she can stay!) then there's a possibility that it may work.
God let's hope so! :O

Can this even work? I would think it would take years before people even got over DBE. I'm not expecting the new DB movies to come out within the next 2-3 years, but when the next film does hit us, will people even want to give a Fox DB movie any thought?

Well the Only way I can see people Accepting it BY fox is if James Cameron did it... he is Foxs Nolan.

Hell no to James Cameron...
Let him do something a bit bore sophisticated like Battle Angel or Ghost in the Shell

I think they should try to get Stephen Chow back as a director if they didn't scare him off the first time. I think his blend of humor and action is a great fit for Dragon Ball.

I think so aswell I only said cameron cuz he would be able to have Full creative control with fox.

2-3 years would be extremely fast in my opinion, i dont see anything happening for the next 5 years

noone saw DB:E. the reboot can come out in the next year and people wont care and even know.

and that is the truth.....but still, let's not forget about the french fans...for them, dbe was a too bitter pill to swallow...

do I need to say that I'm looking forward to see a reboot?(asap)

Stephen Chow I predict will never direct a Hollywood movie. And he shouldn't.

Chow doing a Fox movie? It would be a freaking disaster of epic proportions.

They should wait several years for a reboot like Waner Bros. with Batman.

Um, so why make Dragonball Evolution in the first place? Are they expecting people to forget that piece of trash all of a sudden?

How about leave Dragonball alone and if you do reboot it start with the DBZ saga and don't water down the Raditz saga, Vegeta, Frieza, Trunks, Gohan, Piccolo, and Cell. I imagine Marsters must be pretty pissed too seeing as he was supposed to be a huge fan and barely got to do anything in the actual film.

Actually I am looking forward to seeing this:

nooo way! that is...beautiful (well not the kid-ya know what i mean..)
