I kind of have my dream job...
As a kid I always wanted to be in a band, but once I formed a band I realize that I hated it, and what really excited me about it was the process of working to make the band famous. I didn't care about performing or getting chicks or photo shoots or anything...I was more interested in the marketing, the ins and outs of making the song etc. So, I got involved on that side and have worked with/for some of the biggest labels and bands in the country, and have worked promo campaigns that have helped break a few big names. I ended up as a tour manager, but have since settled into a management role.
But looking back...I would have loved to have self-published comic books. I never wanted to be a superstar Image artist or whatever (can't draw) but again...the process of getting the book out and marketing would be fun. I tried a few times, but could never get a good artist to actually do the work. I eventually realized that wanna-be artists are not professionals for a reason...they lack the drive...so if I ever do anything in comics it'll be with established professionals.
