Low..not that hard to have dreams. I say owning your own comic shop is easier than becoming a screenwriter. I don't read comics a lot. Don't going almost half an hour just to pick some up at Books-A-Million. Last comic I got was the Man-Thing Prequel (better than the movie). Had to order that in too.

Given the rise of the internet [I have a friend who downloads all her comics or buys them online] I'd say there was no point in pursuing this one. Why trek out to a specialist store when you can buy online?

One more reason I hate technology. Just too old fashion. He could...give customers a reason to go there. Special deals and signings etc. Maybe offer arcade games. Or have a subway built inside it...like some gas stations around here are doing.

Now that could work. I'm not really liking the way things are going, but it does make stuff cheaper.

See, there will always be a place for clothing stores because people need to try things on, but records, books, comics, movies, all of these things are gonna dissapear from stores at the rate things are going. I can't remember the last time we actually bought a movie...

If you want to open a comic book store it really depends on the location. I'd rather walk 5-10mins to a comic book store then order online and wait a week or two. I would also like to open one...if I became rich!

Filmmaker/Screenwriter as well. In 2009 I will strat living in LA after my graduation of school

I am going to enter either Columbia College Hollywood or USCA.

You're right, I think location is a factor- nearest store to us is a three mile treck, or two busses, with usually costs more than the comics themselves.

It actually takes less time to download a comic, for us, than it does to walk into town and buy one. For now, we're going in once every few months and just stocking up on back issues, but if cash gets any tighter...

the banter and the getting the stuff there and then...

i have a massive back log of stuff that i need and i could have got it all online but i'd rather go to my local shop cause i don; trust the postmen...

Exactly what im studying to be, though im not sure if itll be the way i imagine it.
Psychologist. :)

College professor or editor :huh::o
... so basically I'm going to be living in a box. :o

I've been daydreaming about this profession lately! Especially this morning from the time I woke up to the time I got to work...

As a college professor, you can lecture or teach whatever you want about a subject. There are no "required tests" (depending on what you teach).

And the lifestyle!?! OH....Summers off (usually), College breaks, Pipe-smoking, Coffee, the sound of your own voice stroking your ego in a class full of pupils...MMMMmmmmm!

"I want this, NOW!"

something that has to do with light and color in the movie business... that's my dream job.

Any of you guys major(ed) in film?

I want on office job where they don't check on my work so I can screw around on the internet all day.

I'd like to work in theater and/or movie production. Special effects, building sets,etc....

my realistic dream job is to be able to make a living doing photography.

my DREAM dream job is currently being filled by joe quesada.
