Damn dude, that f**king sucks.

I can try start a new Game & getting arrested for stealing but how long would I have to wait for the Dark Elf to come after I do the time ?

I got arrested three times, and I think the third time I got arrested for no reason (I think I got caught picking a lock for fun, and was unsuccesful too). I did my time, left the place and then the lady handed me the note or whatever.

Where is the City Balmora ? Cant I just go there kill that one guy & get Master Lock Opener or w/e that is called ?

I dunno, I keep restarting and making new characters because I don't like my character's face. :(

I love being a thief, 'cause when you get a stealth bow attack it's 3x damage instead of 2, haha.

Yeah, Im a Assasain Class born under the sign of the thief, Bad-assness ensues :o

Look in your quest diary. The directions should be in that. find teh entry and press 'a' to higlight it and mark the destination on your map.

It's at the dockyard of the imperial city or something.

I guess you have not been paying attention. I have no quest at all to join the Theifs Guild. Im looking to find it myself so I can kill that one guy. Surely some of you Oblivion Nuts remember the name of the Town & Place where to join ? & yes I know I am being rude Mentok & I apologize but pay attention a little better man

You can't really meet the guy unless you get that note. :/

Well i hate lockpicks... so im posting how to get the unbreakable one that adds +40 to your security stat.

its a simple quest, you have to be level 10...

head to Nocturnal's warshiping area (Dont know exactly what to call it) to get there head Leyowiin and follow the road on the right of the city (As if your looking at your map)Follow this road and eventually you should come across it. To be more precise it is almost directly east of Fishermens rock and a bit south west of Arpenia go there and talk to her if you are lvl 10 she will give you a job to do

Now, she wants you to head to Layowiin and find the two argonians who have stollen her eye the argonians are Bejeen and Weebam-Na talk to one of them about the eye and they will say they never heard of it.

Now you must over hear there conversation, this one can be hard depending on your sneak skills i found it best to jump on there bead and sneak behind the curtain wall thing and now listen to there conversation.

They will speak of where the eye is hidden, a smalle cave to the south east called Tidewater. Its pretty small but its full of trolls and mountain lions so watch out. Follow your indicator to the back of the cave and you will find a wierd big glowy ball take it, thats the eye.

Now fast travel back to the shrine for your reward of +40 to security PERMENETLY and the skeliton key, a lock pick that will not ever break no matter how many times you screw up.

how do you get the note?

Get caught stealing something, go to jail, do your time, recieve a note.

Or find a Gray Fox wanted poster, read it, then recieve a note.

Something like that. I did the first one.

That because we were talking about Gentleman Jim Stacey who runs/is a member of the Morrowind branch of the thiefs guild. Balmora is also in Morrowind.

I agree, the character face maker engine does suck. I actually would have liked one similar to Morrowind's; especially with all of the cool looking Nord character's from Morrowind.

Im in the secret underground base of Lord Dagon, what do I do after I steal the book and get my possesions back?
