Well, they just can't take Morrowind's creatures and put them in Skyrim, it wouldn't make much sense. I do hope they set the next game in a province just as alien and strange as Morrowind though.

That's why I often think of Morrowind as the wild west. It was always much more strange land than Skyrim and Cyrodil that was more of melting pot than Skyrim and even Cyrodil. I guess it's because that was an elf land and Skyrim/Cyrodil are both human lands.

Yeah, the creature design of Skyrim leaves something to be desired. I guess there is no reason there can't just be bears and rabbits and deer, I don't know the Elder Scrolls lore that well, but I wouldn't mind more weird stuff. Especially when I came hot off the heals of Dark Souls which has fantastic design, each section of the game is full of unique creatures/enemies.

I think it's because these are human lands, that you see creatures resembling actual animals.

I'm not saying to bring back those exact enemies, just for them to be creative in inventing new ones.

I dunno, I don't think there was anything wrong with the creatures of Skyrim, just a few more 'Oh CRAP' type enemies. Something like the Deathclaws in Fallout. And more variety amongst the Draugr's would have been nice.

I thought all the Dwarven enemies were cool, and things like Ice Wraiths etc were cool.

Matt, whilst I understand your arachnaphobia, surely you must agree that the idea of Spiderbears, who descend from the ceiling on a web, is ten times more terrifying than any spider!

I'd much prefer spider-bears than real spiders! Bears on webs are just very crafty bears. I can deal with that.

If you don't like spiders, then shouldn't you like killing them?

No, because that means looking at them!

I think that there is probably a lot of merit to that. Hopefully if we visit the Dominion in the next game, we will see a lot more of Morrowind inspired designs.

Skyrim has it's fair share of fantastic enemies. Hagravens, Falmer, Dremora, Atronachs (of all elemental variety), Spriggans, Chaurus, Dwemer Automatons, Giants, Skeletons, Ghosts, Draugr, and oh yes, the DRAGONS.

There are plenty of real-world enemies like rats, mammoths, sabertooth tigers, wolves and bears, but it doesn't stop there. I think plenty of imagination went into the enemies. The Dwemer Automatons alone could have carried hours of gameplay.

I guess my problem is that there ARE bears and wolves. When those could have been replaced with something that was maybe bear like, but not a bear and etc.

It's not a big deal to me. I love the game, in fact this is really my only nitpick. :)

I agree with you. They could have given all the real-world animals a fantasy twist like they did the Horkers.

Man.....I sure do enjoy the shouts, or what I like to call, "Boosh!".

Heh, yeah, I walked around my house yelling "FOOS!" for a couple days after the Greybeards part of the main quest.

None of the creatures are as freaky as the centaur from fallout 3

They might just be normal animals, but I have to say i've literally jumped a few times whilst just strolling through some woodland at night and a bear or sabretooth just comes out of know where and attacks me. Sometimes they don't roar or whatever until they are right on your ass.

The sabretooth cats are usually on me before I even realize. Fast little buggers.

After a while I got used to them, but I'll never forget the first time coming across one, creepy and terrible. I remember backing away from it quickly as I tried to assess what it was while I imagine the character fumbled at his weapon.

I'm glad there was nothing quite so horrendous in Skyrim! :woot:

Or the giant ants. *shivers*
The first time I ever played the game, I somehow stumbled upon a Giant Ant Queen in a factory, which I was not prepared for. Somehow, I managed to survive awhile, while having a mini-freakout in real life. I ****in' hate bugs and spiders. I've had very bad experiences with spider bites, which sadly didn't allow me to climb walls, but messed with the nerves in my leg.
So the Giant Spiders and Chaurus in Skyrim are kind of a nightmare. :-/

I've definitely jumped in that situation before, and in a couple of the dungeons when it's super quiet and then a draugr pops out.

The Falmer are the ones that really creeps me out. They're like this game's feral ghouls...only deadlier...and creepier....ferals ghouls with magic powers, and sharp weaponries!

Anyway...i'm gonna try playing as an argonian, but i can't think of a name...heh
So..any suggestion from any of you who played as one of the lizard folk? he's not gonna be a stealthy type of character though-played too much of that kind before-so this one gonna be a bulldozer.
