I'll be honest, I'm thinking this could be the greatest RPG of all time. :up:

In the Open World Sandbox genre of RPG's? Sure I can see that - but we really know very little at the moment other than it looks real purdy and has dragons in it. The RPG genre is kind of crazy in that it covers so many different styles of gaming. Its kind of impossible for any single game to be THE BEST.

I really don't see the story being better than a Bioware or a Planescape Torment for example or the gameplay being addictive like a Diablo for example.
 
I think the title 'greatest open world RPG' is definitely a possibly legitimate title :D
 
Did anyone else jump when the character said something in Dragon?
I had chills the whole time I was watching it.
GAH! So many good fantasy RPG's coming out! :D

I just wasn't expecting this big burst of power when he said something.
Dungeon Siege III... and... oh maybe there aren't that many RPG games coming out... but DAII and Skyrim are so important that maybe I viewed them as "a lot" when there are really only three, in my mind. I don't know how to explain this... LOL!

GREATEST. RPG. EVER. No. GREAT GAME EVER!

November is so far away...:csad: The graphics are...amazing. Just amazing. There were times where it would be easy to sell it as live-action. Dragon look awesome and I'm with with Speedball. Chills flew right down my back the second he said...whatever he said. I saw a little of the wood-chopping business in one shot which looked interesting and, of course, sprinting looks awesome. Seems to add some real speed to the game, looks real.

GOD DAMN YOU BETHESDA!!! I WILL HAVE NO LIFE STARTING NOVEMBER!! :cmad:
 
All I have to say is thank god I'll be out of college in November, because I'm going to devote a LOT of time to this game.

I just said it looks impressive.
If you look at Grand Theft Auto IV or Red Dead Redemption or Mafia 2 on consoles, there is alot of pop in, it's kinda fuzzy and lacks AA.
This is quite sharp by comparison, I assumed wrongly it was pc footage.

I didn't jump but I love how whatever he said flowed right into the chorus. It worked very well for the effect they were going for.
 
Wow. Wow. Wow. Amazing beyond all belief. I don't care if the collectors edition is 200 bucks I'd still buy it.

Yeah, that's probably why I jumped.
I converted the trailer into an mp3 file, so I can listen to the awesome music and voiceover whenever I want.

The only thing making me hesitant on buying the CE is the fact that I will have to upgrade my computer, maybe even build a new one :doh:
 
I bought a top of the range computer recently but it's a mac & I haven't used it for games yet. Any idea what specs a game like this would need to see it in all its glory? Would I need a pc emulator to run games (that aren't mac compatible..which is, I guess the majority).

We can probably take a guess and say the xbox360 is the lead platform which basically is hardware of pc 5-6 years old, so it's built with that older and weaker hardware in mind. Unless they take advantage of anything outside of higher resolution and AA or it ends up somehow being poorly optimized chances are it will match or exceede the console quility on a modest pc. If what you are using is a laptop (or whatever the mac version is called, a mactop?) it will be useless for the majority of games as it uses integrated graphics rather than a proper graphics card.
 
I saw the rewind theater of the trailer on IGN, check it out, they found alot of things that I missed on my first watch. Coolest thing for me was the combat details. A guy swings an axe into a zombie's head and its neck breaks!
 
DEFINITLY gonna check this out! I might not buy it till much later down the road, but I'm absolutely gonna rent it from GameFly when it's released.
 
The new trailer was down right amazing. It looks really good in motion. :up:
