Nice.
Bloody hell, I see this post 2 minutes after finally deciding to buy (& bidding on) Oblivion GOTY (I already have Oblivion but was just getting GOTY for Shivering Isles which I don't want to pay the ridiculous full DLC price for).

Yeah, they addressed all this in the GI Hub and Podcast. It's a more advanced character model system. Deeper than Fallout apparently.

that's good to hear. but hopefully, that will also apply to created characters and not just to NPCs.

Not only that I get home and after all these years of waiting I finally catch Oblivion in Deal of the Week (half price). This is crazy! :cmad:

It is character creation. Thats what I said..... Does anyone actually read up on games before claiming what 'has' to be in them?

Eh. I always thought Bethesda's characters and story-tellling has pretty much always been terrible. What they did do well was not so much singular individuals but a large scale sense of "place". Like when you go to Vivec for the first time it's pretty impressive. Or little touches like a shop NCP following the player around to protect good belonging to them. Ironically, it's kind of he opposite way around with Bioware. While they put out better individual characters and story-telling, the populated area's feel sterile and lifeless in comparison to Bethesda's games. Although I will say, one thing I think hurt Oblivions immersion was to have cities cut off with loading screens from the world. Morrowind did use loading but it very similar to halflife's in which it would simply pause for a second with an indication rather than bring up a loading screen.

^^ I disagree, but to each his own. When Oblivion came out, my mind was blown and now Skyrim has done tha to me again. Lol, I remember when I first played Morrowind. Then came Fallout which was just great as well. Maybe it's jsut me, but I feel as though Bethesda is just an evolvingg compnay and is just getting better and better.

wow....I'd still shoot off one arrow into one of them and run.

That big guy looks like one from in the trailer.

Funny... my neighbors kind of look like that. Sans cat cuteness.

But just as hairy...

:p

Oh wells.

From the looks of it the game definitely has a Frank Frazetta style to it.
Aside from Age Of Conan the picture of the fellow with the borns could easily be mstaken for a painting of death dealer.

Apparently, it takes 300 hours to see everything in this game. Yup, goodbye life.
