Emma Watson in Beauty and the Beast

I LOVE Emma Watson, but part of me thinks an unknown would have been better off playing Belle.

Looks great! Smallest nitpick - looks like the Beast is wearing makeup lol specifically lipstick.

I don't know why they drastically changed his horns, but I'll get used to it.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but all I can muster for this is a big, fat "meh."

Granted, I have zero attachment to the original, but that shouldn't matter.

Not to rain on your parade....but I laugh my butt off seeing someone with an avatar of Deadshot shooting both guns wildly into the air saying they aren't into the Disney princess love story movie.:oldrazz:

I love the Beast's voice. And yes I got misty eyed during some scenes, especially the library scene.

The trailer didn't do much for me unfortunately. I will still see the movie opening day.

Fair point. :funny:

I could easily see myself being into this story, I love a good romance, and I have nothing against Disney, but this? I dunno. It looks so...dull.

2D Beast looked far more impressive, Emma Watson's acting didn't improve. Looks dull overall.

When this comes in like 1.5 billion in a few months, it is going to be the classic, "yeah but people I don't know anyone who likes it."

Looks fantastic. :atp:

Mrs. Potts looks less terrifying in motion.

I wish they didnt go full CGI on the face shots for the beast, practical would have worked on some shots. Hopefully some of it gets ironed out because the cgi looks pretty bad to me.

After seeing him in motion I've decided I don't like the look of the Beast, he looks far too human for me and for lack of a better word, flat. Loved basically everything else, except still not fond of mrs Potts though better than I initially thought.

I'm not sure if Emma Watson is the right choice. She is too well known.

Just watched the trailer. It's......it's beautiful! :waa:

Even Emma as Belle. She's......she's beautiful!! :ilv:

My favorite film of all time........has come to life!! :hmr:

So now that I've gotten over my initial tingly feelings.... I think the only designs that I'm still kind of 'eh' about are Mrs. Potts and Chip. The way their faces are done still seem odd (but then, this is a talking teapot and teacup we're talking about...). That said, I don't think it's enough of an annoyance that it's going to affect my (hopefully) overall enjoyment of the film.

I actually really like the Beast. To me, there are some elements in his face which remind me of Vincent.... not the Vincent from the current cruddy remake on CW, but Ron Pearlman's Vincent from the Beauty and the Beast tv show (late 80's/early 90's). Of course, that could be just me ;)

CGI needs work. It will probably look better in a dark theater

It looks "I am Legend" CGI human fake.

It's going to be a super smash hit for sure. But... I'm never thrilled with Disney's trailers. I think it's going to be a good film, I just don't love Disney's trailers. I wasn't a big fan of Cinderella's trailers but the movie I'm a fan of. So overall I'm very excited.

I'm not a fan of Emma Watson. I'm indifferent to her overall but this "she's too big for the role" stuff is nonsense. Nerds always say that when they don't have the courage to just say they wanted someone else.

Disney has this thing about retelling the original movie in their trailers. They did that with Cinderella and thus I expected it to be a bore. That obviously wasn't the case. I learned that less with The Jungle Book, which I also love.

My darling SPIDEY dislikes Emma Watson and Blade Runner. What is a boy to do..,.

And I completely agree. If you don't like her in the role, say it. Don't talk about how she is too well known for the role. That is an odd way of being in favor of typecasting dooming someone.

I know that I will watch this movie, I used to love the old animated film that I haven't watched in well over 15 years, maybe it's time to dig it out again.

The stick in Belle's hand made me wait for her to cast a Wingardeum Levi-osa

I would have liked someone who I don't know in the role. I just think she is too recognizable. I just see Emma Watson.

The film looks really beautiful, hopefully it actually is. Didnt even wanna watch this before but now it has my interest

This seems so pointless and hollow. It's as if Disney is tryng to sell me my own memories of watching the original animated movie on tape when I was younger.

This just makes me want to pick up the Blu-ray of the original (which I will do). I doubt I'm going to contribute to the $1 billion box office gross of this live-action version, though.

Unfortunately this is how I felt. I hope there are a lot of new scenes and content added so that it doesn't feel like a live action remake of the original. That's what the new Jungle Book did and it worked out well.

Also I'm not keen on what I saw of Emma Watson's acting.

Evans Screaming "I say we KILL THE BEAST" gave me chills
loved the trailer, those dance shots <3
