The hate towards Spider-Man 3 is getting annoyingly long! :o I just think little Spidey-nerds didn't get enough Venom... ohhh, poor nerdies... OHHH, POOOR POOOR NERDIESSS... :whatever:

Anyway, people, we're talking about The Dark Knight here which has no ties what-so-ever with Spider-Man 3 so let's just get back IN TOPIC!!!!

I am a huge spidey fan and venom was the least of the movies problems... but they did screw him up

Goyer helped write a treatment or an outline for TDK. Jonah took his ideas as the basis for the movie.

Is Goyer really doing anything because his writing talents are horrible, I mean he wrote and directed Blade 3 and Invisble which both couldnt even make enough money to match the price it cost to make the movie...

goyer fan huh...
Correction, A NolanGoyer fan. :cwink:

I don't like his style much. He gets blamed for making some parts of begins too juvenille and lowest common denominator and I have to say i agree.... I want him gone.
If Nolan is the "Bob Kane of Batman films", Goyer is Nolan's "Bill Finger". ;)

In Batman Begins Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale did a great job by showing Bruce Wayne's emotions and overall the film's emotional, while in the backround we can hear Hans Zimmer's and James Newton Howard's touching music.

Now, I hope that The Dark Knight, won't be just an "action movie" or just a detective movie, I hope that Nolan & Co. will again show Bruce Wayne's emotions in the sequel. What do you think? While it should have more action, etc. I hope it'll still be a character study.

I've got no doubts about the Nolans capabalities in that department after seeing The Prestige.I just think it won't be as heavily focused on Bruce as the first one since we've now got Joker, Dent plus the returning supporting characters that need to be developped as well.

Remember when Bruce had PARENT issues and not just father issues? What's with his mother getting shafted so much? This is why I'm all for Leslie Thompkins.

She never gave him any ice cream. Some kind of flashabck to give her a bigger role (other than as a mute wife) would be nice in TDK, but don't see how they can do it.
Problem with introducing Leslie (and I'd love to see it) is that it might crowd the field too much a la SM3.

His mother certainly should've been featured more , but stressing the father/son relationship made sense from a thematic standpoint. The father/man is the traditional preserver of the family legacy. And the issues it brought up, specifically Ra's and Falcone bringing Thomas Wayne's heroism into question, were very powerful.

And Begins isn't exactly the first medium to underplay Martha. What I think made it so obvious in Begins is the particular stress it puts on Thomas, which I think should be seen as a positive, in that at least the film focused more on one parent than most of the other Bat-media ever focused on either.

So I guess what I'm saying is I'd rather have a heavy presence from one of his parents than little to no presence from either.

Batman Should Def Have A Gf Coz He's Human Just Like The Rest Of Us!
Its Not Like He's Celibate!

The problem with Spider-Man 3 is that it is a ridiculous stupid movie.

well spidey has made more money than any other film this year
and thats wut counts!

Not for me. Begins wasn't the biggest hit in 2005 and it wont be next year. But it certainly was one of the best. Warner has learned that megahits like spiderman only happens at launch. It happene in 78 with Superman and in 89 with Batman. It will NEVER happen in a relauch. 200-250 miilion Box Office each are the target for Nolan's Batman trilogy and Singer's following films. As long they keep the quality and absolute creative freedom in Nolans hands, we might get a fenomenal trilogy. Dont judge by the numbers. Its the quality that matters.

He gets it! Quality and faithfulness have nothing to do with it! So stop asking for it!

By any chance, are you a producer?
