Episode 06: "Better Halves" discussion thread

This show has never had alot of action since the get-go and I still enjoyed it.

This week's show just lacked hard.The story didn't flow at all and too much emphasis was directed towards certain characters.

hopefully next week's is better

Thats kind of a hard cry, you have to put more emphasis on other characters that bring more characters into the series. I think this episode showed us just what we were expecting from what every episode has currently have. Very good episode, and just more to come.

Obviously because the "bad" Nikki is in control of when she wants to come out. If you were about to die but you could flip to your alter ego, you would.

Not to mention thats what Isaac's whole thing about smudging the painting to reveal the Tattoo.

DL is a great addition to the cast and I hope they do something worthwhile with him. Claires little friend is such a dead man, and hiro kinda annoyed me this episode. Everyone always said mo's friend was a spy and I was hoping they would be proven wrong but oh well.

minimual amount of hiro ( I have a sword lol)

no mind reading cop

I think the eps work well when they are all in the ep

I think its kinda odd that everyone is bagging on this weeks ep. Look at all the characters you have in the show. If they did a show just about Hiro, everyone would be wet in their pants. But since its about someone elses role in the show, the least popular character, no one cares. I watch the show cuz I like it, not for 2 characters.

But, thats what happens when close minded people are allowed access to the net

haha just read thread and noticed two others had same problem so just ignore this...but where can u see the eps and previews online...i gotta catch next weeks preview

I think the girl that befriends Mohinder in his apt complex is a spy...that looked like a total set up just in case something went wrong...it looked like she was interfering, but was really in on it. Because if they wanted him dead, they would have done it...she's there to help get answers to the wrong people...just my thoughts on that.

I posted that in the Episode 2 discussion thread....I didn't trust her from the start...and yes...i would love a medalt:

the girl who was Mohinder "friend" shown up at Issac's apartment saying she was a fan. then it eneded with a monologue

"evolution. is imperfect and often a violent process. morality looses it meaning. the question of good and evil is reduced to one simple choice, survive or parish." when it was says survive or parish. Niki is shown knocked out on the floor

i wish the kitty vs juggernaut fight lasted longer. lol i totally love the kitty heart move

I like how everyone is comparing DL's phase-shifting move on Nikki to a bunch of different characters. It was pretty badass though, hopefully we get to see him use more of those powers in a fight later on.

I thought it was a good episode, it had a good amount of development for the characters and revealed a lot about Nikki, which I thought a lot of people would've been interested in since she was one of the characters who has been kept in the dark the longest.

I'm glad she's a mole I almost retched when she kissed the jerk. I also loved how claire's father got the message about saving her.

I enjoyed this episode no more or less than any of the others. They used it to introduce a new character and people think it's the end of the world.

IMHO it was just as good as the previous episodes with the added bonus of DL being given a face.

^ Thanks. I thought this episode was good. I did miss seeing everyone else in it, but I like how it opened Niki up as a person. She did what she did for her kid. And the weird thing is that her 'other' cares too. It always seemed that the 'other' was a heartless killing machine

the episode was okay...informative...and kept the story moving...but I'm sure the best eps are yet to come. I'm hoping for atleast one all out...action packed everyone uses their power episode...either that...or an ep where they all start to meet and become aware of who they are, what their purpose is...and become good friends...or should I say...a team.

yeah i really like how the writers are really thinking about character development. its good to see that theirs actual reasoning to other Niki's actions, even if they do seem to extream...

ok so about Niki's tattoo, since it only shows when she turns personality. do u think the other people when the use their power, that tattoo also shows?

Niki's alter seems to have some super strength she threw phase guy into the wardrobe like he was nothing. Speaking of Niki did phase guy kill her from squeezing her heart or is she just unconscious? She wasn't even featured in the preview for next weeks show.

More of a backstory, character deepening episode, and it worked. Most emotional one yet. Micah's reaction to his father plunging his hand into Nikki...strong stuff. I called HRG making up the bio parents, and now Claire knows something about her chromosomes being irregular. Eden works with HRG. DL isn't really a bad man, he's a loving father and husband who did what he thought he had to for his family.

what did that paint smudge have to do with anything?

Well, from what I've gathered, theres two symbols. THe one on Nikkis back, on the blackman (not DL)'s necklace, in the coding of the computer (which Eden had to do with) and such. Then theres the one that was on Hiro's sword. One has 3 strand breaking off, the other only has 1.

When Nikki lay on the ground, Isaac smudged out the part that didn't have the evil symbol, revealing that she now has the symbol.

It's all symbolism, thats the main thing the show is going off.

pretty good episode, i hope DL didnt kill Nikki, because shes a cool character and it will be cool to see what lengths she goes to, to get Micah back. When is Claire going to meet another Hero? Hiro is kind of annoying at times in my opinion, how he broke down when he couldnt save those people.
