well they could be having him take over others to get strength and then maybe at mid season or during the last 4-5 episodes he is powerful enough for his own body to be created. also on another thought if they just got a guy in a costume as final look, if they have legs/arms totally overed and face only thing visual doing a mask/makeup with red eye contacts/ with cgi enhancements could look good. All they need is to get someone pretty tall like who ever was the stunt guy(s) as persuader(Fraser Aitcheson) and doomsday(Dario Delacio).

I wonder what they will do for the end of the season when Clark has to face Darkseid in person. Hopefully they will have him in his full form by then.
Just as long as they don't make him out to be the big cloud that Galactus was in FF2, then I wouldn't be opposed to him not being a human form or something.

On an additional note, just watched Superman & Batman: Apocalypse...

The last fight against Darkseid would be amazing recreated as Superman's first true big battle in costume.
Yea I saw it last night. It was pretty cool. I would just hope that they let Clark defeat on his own without any help.

I'm fairly certain they'll have Darkseid show up in full form soonish. Not just possessing people. They aren't stupid. :)

Darksied did look like crap, a mist c'mon, its just disrespectful to Kirby and all of his 4thworld characters. I expected to see a glimpse of Apokalips with Darksied sitting in his throne room planning his attack on earth. Instead we saw a goul mist and his eyes wasn't even glowing Omega beam red. Im hoping the mist is something else instead of Darksied.
I would urge that you read some of my earlier posts in this thread.
Darkseid has been vastly weakened, and that's why he's appearing as a mist.
He can't fully form and take over the world right away. :)

I'd also love to see Darkseid in his full 8 foot 6, 575 pound form, but you have to be patient.
And no, it's not really disrespectful to Jack Kirby, I suggest you look up Action Comics 592 and 593 for the biggest disrespect to Jack Kirby in history. :)

It will make you realize Smallville couldn't come close to disrespecting him.
By the way, Action comics 592 and 593 is known as the story where Superman almost makes a porno.
Thank you, John Bryne...not.

yo, if they adapted shot for shot, any of the super battles in the DCAU, we'd be happy.

But SV has never been able to keep up with the DCAU, narratively, qualitatively, or action wise.

I guess this is how they explain things now. At least we get some "confirmation" of everything that happens in Off-screenVille.

@donwhitehead1 Hi Don! Lazarus question: How was the Fortress console fixed after Zod destroyed it in Salvation? Was this discussed?
@grahamtracey Felt Jor-El A.I. managed to do some self-healing in time to reach out to Clark. Great thing about crystals -- they grow. : )

@donwhitehead1 How was Oliver's chest healed after Zod carved him with heat vision?
@AdamThomason81 Oliver Queen has the best plastic surgeons in Star City on speed dial. : )

@donwhitehead1 Can we not have Jor-El AI reach out to Clark again, please? He's getting crazier and less consistent by the season
@canada_bear Jor-El always has a plan...

I really hate how the writers try to patch up plotholes, such as those, with a little joke and a smiley face.

what a great premiere. I didnt even know it was back already. Love Lois teasing Clark and not telling him. I expected her to be mad with him about no telling her and how everyone around her seems to know but has been lying. I hope she keeps it her own little secret for a while.

I didnt like the idea of Lex clones. I hope this is the last we see of them.

yay that Tess is back! I was unsure last season.

The opening seemed pretty bare. Is this like the smallest cast thats ever been featured in it? I also noticed they retired Lois' bikini shot. Man that one was a classic...lol

It wasn't that he was a bad Lex, it's more that he wasn't Rosenbaum.

This guy would be really good for a evil scientist on the run building a power suit version of Lex. Another Lex for another show. As a character meant to be an extension of Rosenbaum's Lex it just felt odd and his features weren't really comparable.

Though if the idea was supposed to be that so many years of bitterness and hate would make Lex look like s**t, then they nailed it.

I want Doctor Fate's helmet. :o:up:

the best thing about this ep was fate dressing down chloe and darkseid.

and anything with lois, you go girl:awesome:

So the console being destroyed in Salvation & then seemingly being repaired in Lazarus is being put down as the fortress, "healing itself"... :whatever:

Seems more like a glaring plothole to me..

Olivers chest being repaired I can live with, but the console being destroyed then being ok is just sloppy writing/planning..

unless there is something else going on and they want to keep the real reason under wraps so they give us a simple 'it healed itself' answer to keep us quiet....

one of many my friend, one of many......i really hope they don't do too much of this to rush the whole series along

Could be & I hope it is because it really is poor..

Zod really didn't even have to destroy the console at all unless they had a planned story reason behind it which is what makes it irritating..

You know I can accept plot holes in vurtually any TV show or movie, particularly science fiction ones. But this one has taken a special interest particularly because of the extremely foolish 'reason' given to cover up what is poor writing..

The only thing that will get them off the hook is if they actually did have a reason for showing it being demolished & then being fine.. l

I know the Fortress reparing itself was a bat plot point, but I don't remember anyone complaining this much when the same thing happened in "Savior".

Refresh my memory.. I can't remember without rewatching :O

Brainiac (possessing Chloe) drained all the knowledge from the Fortress in "Legion", he said to Clark, I quote, "your father is gone, and all the knowledge this Fortress ever held finally belongs to me." Yet Jor-El and the Fortress was perfectly fine when Jor-El was training Clark in "Savior". That Fortress has 9 lives apparently.

Are people this daft?. Even the person I hate most ( Neal Bailey ) said that he doesn't understand how people don't understand that the reason Lex looked like a different guy & ugly was because he was.......,wait for it.......A FAILED CLONE!. Every clone at Cadmus looked mutated in a different way, not quite looking like the Lex we know. Are people this slow not to pick up on this?. I can understand nitpicking plot holes, but this is not one of them, this makes sense given the storyline.

Weird, I don't remember that at all.

To be honest, I didn't even remember the fortress being messed up at the end of season 9 until people started mentioning it here.

I think the worst part for me was the Darkseid reveal. I mean since when does Darkseid show up in a puff of smoke and roar like a beasty?

Darkseid calmly walks out of a Boom-Tube with hands behind his back while hordes of Para-Demons fly out wreaking utter havok as begins he waxing philosophical about how he's going to crush you under his heel to gain the Anti-Life Equation before zapping your ass with Omega Beams. That's how he rolls.

I agree, I wish they hadn't shown Darkseid personally. I thought it looked cheap, but oh well.

Since being in this new Kal-El/Clark/Superman universe!,The point of this show since episode 1 has been about being a re-interpretation about the whole mythology&characters.

IF you don't like it then fine,But this is just the way his new origin is!.....Just like the comics changes with origins and stuff over time,This is only episode 1 of the last season anyway!.....His form can change from episode 2 till perhaps even the last episode.
