Hawkeye Episode 6: So This is Christmas? (Spoiler Discussion)

I enjoyed Jack as well. But my original hope is that he would be suiting up in the future, and I'm not sure I see this "pretty decent with a sword man" being a candidate for a Thunderbolts or West Coast Avengers team. I would like to see more Tony Dalton in the MCU, so hopefully he will pop up somewhere.
He’d have to have had history as some kind of hero/agent/operative etc to be worth a whole lot going forward. But of course if Dalton is up for it let him have more fun.

so what will happen to the shrunken criminals ? will they die, probably eaten by the owl or will they go back to their normal size (maybe the particule pym work for a few minutes) ?

I really hope you guys are right about Kingpin returning because I'm going to be seriously disappointed if that's not the case, especially after how they handled it in such an ambiguous way.

I am still floored that they didn't even hint slightly at the possibility of him surviving that gun shot in the post credit scene and instead gave us an unnecessary, overlong 10-minute musical number.

As much I ended up liking this show I can't give stupid stuff like that a pass. I mean they could have given us anything regarding the future of these shows or the movies and they chose that.

The post credit scene has to be the worst since the cap public service announcement for me i was ticked at the Howard the duck one but grown to appreciate it

But that musical :argh:

Most reviews I've checked all have loathe it agatha all along that was not

Even if Kingpin survives, which he mostly likely will, it’s bad writing to introduce him at the end of Ep 5 like it’s a big deal, with Clint talkin about how he was scared it was Kingpin, only for him to be bested in the next episode, by Kate first of all, and then again by Echo.

Anyone who sees this without having seen the Netflix shows will be thinking he’s a bit of a chump and not the intimidating villain we’ve seen to date. The one thing I did like a lot was seeing him take and shrug off damage quite easily.

I didn't even see the Post credits, what was it?

I hope Jack pops up again. But even if he doesn't, I liked him

Exactly. It was cool seeing him amped up a bit, but I want to see that kind of power and ferocity being really put to the test against another superhuman character like Spider-Man or other more grounded heroes in the MCU.

The theory around Reddit is that he survived the Snap and all of the people he saw as threats to him didn't and he spent 5 years consolidating so much power that he let his guard down. However, that doesn't hold water in that those threats came back when Hulk brought everyone who was snapped back into existence.

How is it bad writing? The point of using Kingpin is he's a known entity. IT was to get the other characters over.

Man, they were very murder happy this episode. You’d think Kate would be a little conflicted about casually killing so many people.

Fisk didn't look different physically from the last time we saw him, but of course, Vince had lost a lot of weight so maybe it was just a body suit.

Plus, Kingpin is the bad guy. This would be hardly the first time Kingpin lost or was foiled in media. We have seen him bested twice by Daredevil on Netflix. It ain't like Kingpin was going to just....succeed in this show, lol

The one place I do agree with people is the post credits should have teased Kingpin surviving and his return. I think not doing that wasn't the best move. Now this way, some fans will think he is dead and be mad. Not the best idea

Usually a post credits scene moves the story forward. If there is two, having a useless post credits scene is fine, but if it's one, it has to move the current universe going forward, this did not. The post credits to Black Widow moved the story to this series. The post credits to Shang Chi progressed the stories of him, Katy and his sister. Eternals post credits moved the story of Dane Whitman and introduced Eros and Pip the Troll. Even NWH moved the story forward even though it was a bit of a weird one.

Yeah, would love to see it. Will be interesting to see what the next raft of shows announced are.

This MCU is big so there will be a lot more opportunities for Kingpin to network and have a lot under his control. Really hope there are plans for the Marvel underworld going forward.

I doubt they brought Fisk into the MCU after years of fans begging for it, only to kill him off screen after one ten minute appearance. Set up for the Echo series. That's all it is.

Love D'Onofrio. Dude slipped right back into it. Hope he's a mainstay for years to come.

I liked seeing the full musical but they should have had a separate credit scene setting something else up in line with tradition.

Man it would've been so dope, if he came home, covered in blood after his encounter with Echo, and you see her waiting at the door:

Maybe with a white streak in her hair now, and then telling him "Glad you're still alive. Now we have to dance with the Devil."

Close on Fisk looking even more pissed.
