Error Code (aka The Great PSN Easter Outage of 2011)

How many of you guys think this is an attack ? The fact that its Easter Weekend & this wont be fixed until maybe after the weekend ? A Holiday seems like a good time to hack attack the PSN. Hopefully this does not happen during Christmas. Imagine the massacre

So, that means no Netflix for a few days...I can live without the PSN Store, or even Multiplayer for a few days...but I needs my Netflix.

I am assuming that you have a computer. Considering that you're typing here on the Hype.

My blu-ray player is also equipped with Netflix so I'm all good

I still get on Netflix... It asks me to sign into the PSN and then after the error code comes on it lets me on netflix

I'm sure by now most of you know that its down for maintenance. Supposedly it was announced but i heard of no such thing, it came abruptly after i was done playing a game online(Thankfully). I tried to log in to the PSN today through Killzone.com and it said the following message:

Site Maintenance Notice

The server is currently down for maintenance.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again later.

Hopefully it doesn't take longer than a few hours/days....

I thought it was a hack, but never mind then.

Damn, I wanna get back on now, I just got Netflix through to my PS3 not even a couple nights ago. Bleh. Perfect timing.

Netflix will work. Just go into it and when it asks you to sign in, keep trying. On the second or third try it will just go straight to the Netflix menu. I watched a movie just a few minutes ago.

I tried that and yes it got to the menu, but when the movie/tv show started to load, it errored out and would not fully load.

IDK. It might be your connection maybe? I just checked again and the show started right up. Maybe it depends on your location? I'm stumped.

Well I'm glad there's somewhat of a timetable for this. Hopefully it gets resolved by tomorrow.

i do hope its not hackers..they ruin everything with console player..
i have an apprentice who is 17 and he knows about hackers and dshowed my leaderboards on cod which have hackers at its summit..
all the bots and cheats ruin online gaming...im all for cheating on single player thats up to you and fine but not on multiplayer...its like going to watch a football games and all but one player is tied up.waste of money and severely unfair..

again i hope this isnt hackers...but sony do need to pull their socks up with this psn problems..seems like theres been a few recently...i would mind them doing a microsoft and charging us if we had really good servers..but to be down over easter really sucks.

Um I dont think so. Why would it? This nonsense makes it more likely that people WONT be willing to pay. Sony will have killed their online service if they started charging now.
