Eva Longoria to be in the Avengers?

A pretty decent choice for Wasp, which means the big shots (Captain, Thor etc), will be bigger names.

Or it could mean that they are getting names in supporting roles to surround lesser known stars in Thor and Cap. It's hard to call at this point.

heck yes, I don't mind an ethnic Wasp.. she's sexy, and it's not like Wasp was all that super-deep/angsty as a character to begin with, requiring Shakespearean caliber-actors or whatever.. Word. I'm cool with Longoria. I was kinda hoping they'd go Asian for Wasp, like in the Ultimates, but whatever's cool. Nobody REALLY cares about Wasp, anyway, and Longoria would put more Desperate Housewives fans' butts in seats, and maybe make the role her own.

Soo... I dont really understand what you're saying. I mean, if she is going to be Wasp, it doesnt really matter much in terms of how much money the movie makes. People arent going to see the movie just for Eva Longoria, and I certainly doubt that anyone will see the movie just for the Wasp. The movie will make money because Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America and Thor would be teaming up on film for the first time ever.

Eva Longoria/Wasp would be insignificant to the films success.

Well, it couldn't hurt, Angelina Jolie did it for Wanted. But you're right, it really won't matter in a movie with Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and the Hulk.

Has anyone considered that this doesn't really make sense? Think about it- people are speculating Longoria as the Wasp. But we know that Wright's screenplay would place Pym's adventures in the 60's. So unless Hank hooks up with a much younger Wasp, would it make much sense for her to be the Wasp?
