I don't know about that, the first PA has like an 83 percent on RT. I don't know if ED will get that high, id say at most 77-82, and at worst 60-74 which even that is pretty high for a horror movie lol

I'm just crossing my fingers that the sheep who have been flocking to the PA films go and see this. They need to see what a real and ballsy horror film is like.

I just can't take people who think the PA movies are good or scary seriously.

This isn't a jump scare type of movie. It's a disturbing, creepy movie from what it looks like. No dark hallways and ****, just the Deadites ****ing with you right in your face.

No, seems this take place in the same universe. Not 100% on that yet, but BC will be the only Ash in the series. The film has all new characters.

From many of the reviews, this one is quite humorous. It seems to have the ED2 and beyond sense of dark dark humor.

Seems like there could be an Army Of Darkness 2 by Raimi, and an Evil Dead 2 by Alvarez. So both can exist and do their own thing.

I'm guessing BC's cameo is to confirm that this new series isn't changing anything and a sequel with Ash is not lost... And to get people hyped haha.

Should be all win, if they follow through. Granted this new film is good.

I think if you go in with the right mindset, it should be a blast. While it looks to have more character development than the original, they are similar in that you are not necessarily there to watch the characters survive. You are there to see what inventively gory and horrible ways the filmmakers can torture them. It's not torture porn because it is tongue-in-cheek, which means while it may be gross or shocking, it should be taken with a laugh and not a scream. That is the vibe I am getting.
