The Dark Knight Exclusive New TDK Set Report!

I was reading some of the reports and I know how the scene with the Scarecrow goes. It is the films opening action scene!

cool info people. no more than 1 scene of 2 face please.

I was reading some of the reports and I know how the scene with the Scarecrow goes. It is the films opening action scene!
I thought the film's opening scene was the Joker's bank heist, as the Hollywood Reporter stated.

Hey guys, I have details I might be able to help with!

My company was involved with some of this film's pre-vis, which is 3 Dimensional Computer Generated models of shot for shot of what will be on the film. I do not recall this scene, though the final scene of the film (as well as the first scene) takes place of the Gotham City Police Department rooftop. We were given story boards and script pages; and I recall the final scenes dialogue includes something about an accident at the hospital Harvey Dent was staying at.

Hope this helps! I might be able to get more info out of my coworkers tomorrow!
Why would you be doing pre-viz on scenes that are predominately dialogue moments? And this report doesn't fit with what the Hollywood Reporter stated. The prologue of the film is supposedly the Joker's bank heist, not a conversation on the top of the rooftop.

So forgive me for being a bit skeptical, especially when it's a new user we're talking about.

^
Yep which make me think either the scene was changed or he's making it all up. As it was confirmed that the opening sequence will be the joker's intro and nothing with SC.

Cut to a scene with Bats and Gordon talking on the rooftop about Harvey's fall, with Batman jumping off the rooftop, like in BB.

Not again, thank you.

But it's always nice to end the Batman movie with a cliff-hanger of the next villain.

Begins-Joker
TDK-Two-Face
Batman III-Who knows.

prologue is the beginning...technoir said it was the final scene, or the "epilogue"

The first post credit shot is a large side shot of Gotham City at nightl In the streets we follow 2 anxious guys around Gotham. The enter a parking garage and take an elevator up to the 2nd to last floor. The approach a white truck surrounded by a few cars when one of the guys is taken away. The other is foced over to the back of the truck, where a guy in the back tries to sell him drugs. The thug want's to buy, when suddenly the Batsignal illuminates the sky. The thug becomes visibly ancy, while the Scarecrow is not afraid.

At Bruce Wayne's house, he spots the signal, and leaves the room he's in. Back at the Garage, the guy really does not want to do the deal, when there is a problem: one of the big guys who took away the buyer's friend and tells the Scarecrow something, and we realize the Scarecrow's whole gang is entirely surrounded in the garage by a rival gang. A massive fight breaks where a car is blown up and several are shot. The Scarecrow gets in his truck to leave when blinding lights appear from across the street.

The Batmobile shoots off a rooftop, rockets across the street, smashes through the tip of the garage wall, clipping and destroying a few cars, and slams into the side of the White Truck. We realize Batman isn't even inside the Batmobile, when he lands gracefully in the midst of the chaos, and proceeds ot beat up just about everybody arround him. The Scarecrow gets the truck going and flees, as Batman is attacked by dogs. He gets them off, and races across the garage on foot, and leaps onto the side of ther truck. He punches in the wall and windows of the side, and the Scarecrow slams him into the wall, hurting Batman who drops off the side to the ground. Batman quickly rises, and races to the edge as the Scarecrow flees. The path down is a large circular driveway that has a cut ot opening, which Batman jumps down in, landing hard atop the Truck roof. He tries to shake Batman by smashing into the Guard house, and Batman falls off, clinging to the side as the car races away. Batman swings onto the hood, kicks in the windshield, and grabs the wheel, spinning it, as the truck tips and tumbles forward, coming to a stop. The scarecrow presumably caught.

:) Hope you guys liked it.

oh, and you still have a good point about the pre-vis on a dialogue scene

:wow:

Noice!

Hey TechNoir, is Bruce's "house" the penthouse or Wayne Manor?

I am not to sure which stuff goes where. I just figured out on my own the roof scene is the final one, and the Scarecrow one is the begining as it includes a credits-to-film transition sho where the bats reveal Gotham City.

Doesn't sound "Nolan-Ish" at all.

You've basically just told us everything we have already known. Nothing new.

There is really nothing in this post that we don't already know.

BS, maybe.

Well if this is true and the scarecrow scene is the first scene post credits then maybe the joker intro is something ala james bond pre-credits and then the credits roll making it the prologue of the film.

the only question I have is where the filming of batman (or an imposter) being gassed and the multiple batmen fit in, unless it's supposed to be a later scene with the scarecrow.

It sounds good, but it doesn't make a lot of sense. There would have to be police at the garage, or the police would have to know they were there, and then tell those at the station to activate the Bat-Signal.

We pretty much knew all that, but it does sound interesting.

The Batmen would be stunt doubles I assume. As for previs with lines scenes, i know superman returns had previs in the blue tights blog of lois n superman talking ont he daily planet...so i dont think its that uncommon:huh:

Your "I'll punch them in the throat." line is one of the funniest things ever. Nolan does seem lie a cool ****. Thanks for doing the leg-work, NoirMan82! Dent staggering around in acid-soaked clothing??? Sounds better than I could have imagined...
