The Dark Knight Exclusive New TDK Set Report!

Your right he probably does know and realise his films will still make money no matter who info gets released, but I remember in an interview Nolan expressed a great desire to present his films as if they were magic tricks.
Here it is. I found the interview with Nolan:

"I think we live in an age where there is too much information about the process of making a film out there too early. When you are constructing a film it is a little like a magician creating a trick. Everything must be finished and ready to present to the audience before they see anything. Nobody takes novelists to task for not reading out chapters of their books in advance. It's a visual medium. You are spoiling the experience by showing too much too soon."

Once again, yes, I do think Nolan understands TDK will still draw us in and make money, but this way just feels "right" to him.
Never show anyone. They'll beg you and they'll flatter you for the secret, but as soon as you give it up... you'll be nothing to them. The secret impresses no one. The trick you use it for is everything.

Good job and your a lucky guy!

I think it's safe to say that you don't have to worry about any of these guys :ninja: coming after you.

Regarding Two Face....yeah....I'm sure that scene will be toward the end of the film. Good stuff!

I bet Harvey gets the acid at the end of the movie, and the film ends with him shooting someone (as described in the report).

Yeah....instead of him killing a doctor or nurse in the hospital. Killing a cop a shady bar would work toward the end just as well.

Great quote.

At first I didn't want to read, What the heck I read it and I'm glad I did. I'm looking forward to Eckhart scenes.

Nice report, NoirMan! Two-Face being in the film, wow. Hopefully we'll get a lot of Harvey Dent too.

I haven't gone through all the pages, but I dunno about the reports by TechNoir. If he's working on a movie, he should have signed a nondisclosure agreement. I have a friend who worked on the sound for The Sopranos, and they had to sign nondisclosure forms. She'd read the speculation on TelevisionWithoutPity and ache to post how they were all wrong, but she had to restrain herself. She only told me what the very last scene was (and what the ending credits music was), and it was only because she knew I didn't care about the show and thus wouldn't blab about it to anyone. :p

stop picking holes

We r die hard fans and if we were totally shut off from Nolan and company, we would simply curl up and die OR JUST RAID THE BLOODY MOVIE SET

Is there any possibility that TDK and the next batman flick are being filmed together???

Maybe the two-face stuff is for the next film??

That would make sense, that would be cool if they did it that way.

i think you have stumbled across something there - hmmmm you may well be right. And thats why Noland and Crew dont mind giving us info coz well get it all mixed up!

I thought about that as well, but quickly dismissed it because no *official* word had been said about it, but 12-15 weeks seems like a long time for location shooting. I don't know, maybe not.

Well the sequels for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl were filmed at the same time and well the sequels didn´t turn out so well so it´s better when they have their focus on one movie rather then filming scenes for the next film at the same time

Like back to back sequels? no. it ruined Matrix films.

True.

I think for the Star Wars prequels, they filmed some scenes for a later movie while they were on location in the desert for an earlier one. They didn't want to go back there just for a few scenes, LOL.

Although I bet Chicago would be totally open for the shooting of the 3rd film, but maybe they figured that since they were at that specific location, to shoot anyway.

It's a possibility...

Weren't all three of the Lord of the Rings movies filmed at the same time?

Yeah, but it was a risky move on New Line's part. If the first movie had bombed, well...let's just say we won't have another Rush Hour sequel.
