OH GOOOOOOOOOD !!!! Definitely a wonderful 14th of July to me !!!!:heart: :heart: :heart: :heart: :heart: News from the teaser end Joker pics (though not a clear one yet but anyway....)!

MOre than the Joker it is the background and set that impresses me ! See how it looks dark and glommy, kinda garage or basement (with orange and yellow lighting) typically "serial killer style"!! Definitely a wacko clown there !!!

someone a few pages back mentioned that he might be wearing a purple vest... yes he is! The purple is a very dark purple in case you didn't notice. As for a tie...I don't recall seeing one. I was to busy looking at his face the few chances I had. I can now die a happy man.

I just wish you could have seen that shot of him arriving on the set.

SUV pulls up.... back door opens. Heath jumps out and dose some crazy head shake/twitch with a big smile on his face. Then looks right up at us

I have to say that I've always been a die-hard advocate that Joker must be bleached white, my first thought when the Bettany rumours came out were that the Joker would be as near as dammit to the dandy comic book version. I loved the IBIHDT pic that came out, however, because it looked as if this Joker had applied white make-up over bleached skin.
And unless Nolan pulls a neat trick at the end of the movie, it seems now that Joker will be unbleached, in clown make-up. I was gutted about this!

Part of me wonders if the film will start with a Joker made up, only for it to ended with a bleached skin Joker. Nolan really is good at taking it that extra yard so we will have to see.

It seems clear that the overall look isn´t quite as gruesome as the initial picture suggested.

actually, everything else i can forgive, the cut-smile, the messy lipstick, the panda eyes, but i really dont like the shaggy hair.

it just doesnt fit Joker that well for me. i always pictures joker with slicked back or parted medium length hair, not long, frizzy shag hair thats all over the place.

Maybe it is normally slicked back, and for the moment it is just messy? i.e. its messy here cause he's in a back of a truck running from police and Batman. Maybe he was in a fight? Or maybe they didn't brush his hair yet?

And for the bank pic...he had just taken off his mask, so his hair would be disheveled. So maybe his hair is orderly in parts and messy in others, which would be more realistic than a James Bond hairdo

Well, remember The Joker was always inspired by clowns´ looks, and some clowns wear messy hair - and some put makeup around their eyes too, The Crow didn´t "invent" that...

Slicked back hear doesn't work for someone attempting to rob banks or escape from the Batman.

I love the gritty look of the Joker. Cut smile, shaggy hair, bad looking green hair dye job. Completely fits in with the look that Nolan is going for in this Batman series.

Yeah, his take is a darker, creepier Joker, Ledger describes him as a "pure anarchist" and that look fits the notion.

Being an anarchist doesn;t mean you don't have to shower or comb your hair. Joker has been chaotic and anarchic in the comics yet managed to remain well-dressed and neat. Certainly, he's dark and creepy, but shaggy hair and a bad dye job just makes him look sloppy.

I am sorry; this is a movie, not a cartoon or a comic book. Usually when your dangling from the back of a speeding semi truck, shooting cops are blowing up cars, you might look a little sloppy.
