Ezra Miller IS the Flash

I'm glad that WB didn't pick any of the cliche fan boy dream castings actually. I've always been a card carrying member of the "get the person who gave the best screen test" club though.

Yeah I think the director/WB should cast who they think is right for the role as written. I have no problem with cliched picks because if the person is right for the role than they are right but judging by the fact that they cast a 22 year old who most certainly will show up in Justice League I believe Pine would be too old for what they are looking for.

All I hope for is to really like what I see.

Yeah I could agree with the bold as well to an extent as I never minded say Cavill or Bale. At the same time it's ridiculous to think that should be the only formula for casting superhero movies. No! superhero movies should be cast just like any other movie. Based on who the studio and producers/director/casting director think is most suitable for the job.

They clearly want a youthful, energetic presence for Flash, which I think is probably the best way to go given the casting for Supes, Bats, and AM, gives the team some variety, I will admit though, I expected someone younger than Supes and Bats, but am a bit surprised that they cast even younger than Gustin. I kinda hope they dye his hair blonde or ginger though, depending on what name they give him.

you don't have to cast young to have a "youthful, energetic presence" one of the things I like about the flash is his fun playful energy, and his childish pranks, but, the charm in it is that he's like a adult who never grow up, he's got that Peter Pan man/child thing going on

an actual young person in the role with those characteristic, will just come off as annoying... a kid acting like a kid isn't as fun, he'll just come off as some punk...

Not sure how this takes the focus of THE FLASH TV show. If anything, it draws more attention to the show and reinforces their confidence in the character in all media.

Also, wouldn't it be cool if when he got struck by lighting, his hair turned blonde? Then if it's unnatural, at least there's a reason for it.

gl, (doesn't say which one) shows up at the end off jl1 to warn about darkseid, but that doesn't make any sense to me if he doesn't have a background with the rest of the leaguers yet at that point. i think it's fairly easy to tie his origin into jl kind of like in new frontier)

I hope Ezra's been told to prepare for everything that comes with his casting as The Flash. The positive and the negative alike. I hope he can deal with it cause he's about to read all the negative BS about him. He probably never had to deal with this before. He's been pretty much an unknown and now he's just shot up majorly in popularity and interest. He better talk to Afleck about how to ignore the fanboys and I hope he don't take it personally. Although to be fair he won't get as much hate as Afleck did with him getting cast as Batman. I still don't like it.

So glad fans dont get to make the decisions. What people aren't getting about this Ezra casting is the female demo. This guy Ezra is bi not gay and young women love him. He's gonna be a superstar when BvS/JL comes out. On the Avengers/Loki level. This was a A+ casting for DC.

I'm not sure i buy that he's gonna pull in the female demo. Yeah it may help but I think that it's very much overrated. Also not many people knows this guy, including the female demo you speak of. I'm sure he may end up being a star but time will tell. Still can't believe WB cast him. It's the most out of box casting that I've ever seen in a good way. I'm so glad it wasn't the typical predictable pic, like a Chris Pine or similar.

That I am hands down for.. they should lighten his hair quite a bit, it really Dark and he looks too emo to be the flash which will obviously be cleared after him working out. But he is the kind of person that makes you think that he will never be able to lift and get in shape and remain a skinny wimp…
I'm honestly scared.. I haven't been sceptical about any of the castings so far.. Gal worked to me.. ben definitely worked … but him… I'm super scared, I'm having a

Man calm down. I trust Snyder on getting his look right. I'm sure they are gonna toss him to a personal trainer, probably the same guy that worked with Cavill for MOS. He don't need to be that big though for Flash. Maybe put on 20-25 pounds at the most.

Ezra is a wonderful actor and I can definitely see him pulling off the timid nerdy good natured Barry easily. I'm sure he's gonna add some quirkiness to the role that will be endearing.
