Ezra Miller IS the Flash

A GLBT actor can't successfully play a beloved straight character right?

I remember when people would fancast NPH as Barry Allen.
Good times good times..
I'm one of those.
And I had nothing against Ezra, I want to see before making a -initial- judgement.
I'll probably like him in the role overtime, I almost always like those choices overtime.

I'm pretty excited to see how Ezra will look once he transforms into the Flash. His body type should look ace and better then Gustin's once he begins to train.

Edit: I found that one that was pretty close HighFivingMF

Hope this kid starts to bulk up and tone up a bit. He won't gain mass..but he at least needs to tone up just a bit.

BTW...I'm loving The Flash show. It is well done and Gustin is doing a solid job.

So glad to see The Flash in live action again. Long over due.

Why do you think he won't gain mass?

Teehee... "roll"

This is hilarious BTW...LOL

His body type. He has a naturally thin frame. He can gain weight....but not big time muscle mass unless he does some HGH and PEDS.

He can tone up and develop lean muscle though. Flash is more about having lean muscle and being toned anyways.

Okay, FYI that's not a recent pic. But I get you. I guess we'll see, but I'm excited to see how he'll look like after training.

I have no doubt that Snyder will be pushing Ezra to bulk up. His body type will lend itself nicely to the Flash's physique. He just needs to get toned, his frame is already strong for Flash.

Except unless they start filming next year.......he's got a long time to bulk up without having to use HGH or PED's. He has enough time to literally eat and bulk up at a nice good rate. Now I doubt they hired him to go all Bane but he has enough time to add on some mass as just mass.

He's an ectomorph and through that, they're not good at adding mass.
Probably get Bruce Lee shape if he's lucky and dedicated

After breaking news that the 2017 WONDER WOMAN tentpole movie starring Gal Gadot is being planned as the first of a trilogy that'll span nearly a century, Bleeding Cool now has provided exclusive details about Warner Bos' plans for another pivotal member of their ambitious superhero ensemble: The Fastest Man Alive himself.

>According to sources who have read the studio-approved draft, THE FLASH will make considerable changes to the source material, as the entire aspect of police forensics has been axed. In the script, the lead character, BARRY ALLEN, is presented as a brilliant young astrophysicist working for S.T.A.R. Labs on a project the unravel the secrets of the "Speed Force", the so-called "conective tissue of the Universe". This Barry is much more intense than Grant Gustin's sunny portrayal, veering into mad scientist territory at times. His voice of reason is IRIS WEST, his love interest and a investigate reporter with a strong sense of justice and drive to expose the corruption that reaches the highest echelons of Central City.

>Iris' brother, engineer DANIEL WEST, is Barry's best friend and polar opposite, and both of them are mentored by Dr. JAY GARRICK, a veteran scientist who dedicated his life to the mysteries of the Speed Force. The test run of the machine designed by Barry to study the phenomenon, however, fails due to the intervention of corporate spy LEONARD SNART, a professional criminal sent to sabotage the program. The resulting explosion connects Barry to the Speed Force, turning him into, literally, the Fastest Man Alive. Barry is now able to run at super-human speeds and perceive time differently from other people, and this is how the origin unfolds, structured in interlocking flashbacks presented in "Flash-Vision".

>Snart, as expected, is affected by the explosion as well, gaining the super-human power to steal the momentum of things, "freezing" them solid. As he embarks on a crime spree, Barry adopts the identity of the Flash to stop him, blaming Snart's rampage on his failure, while Iris investigates Snart's employer, who might just be a key-player in another tentpole DC movie, if you can guess who's wealthy enough to afford his own spy.

>Although Snart is the antagonist for most of the movie, he is not the only one, as a far more sinister presence lurks in the shadows, a being that feeds off of speed to survive, and sets his eyes on the Flash. If you're familiar with the Flash lore, particularly his New 52 incarnation, it won't be too hard to guess who it is...

>Although this is a early draft, still subjected to change, it paints a nice idea in which direction the scarlet speedster will be running to in his cinematic debut, in which he'll be played by "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" and "We Need to Talk About Kevin" star Ezra Miller.

More from Bleeding Cool? At least it's a nice read :funny:

I don't know anything about this actor, but as long as he bulks up some, anyone can be made to fit the part. I'm tired of seeing anorexic 12 year old body types being passed off as grown men. Which by the way Barry was when he got his powers. Not a teen. What are people seeing? He isn't a bony twinkie in the comics either.

I been thinking this over again and again and again... And I just can't get excited about this choice. The opposite, in fact. I really don't like Ezra in the role - I just can't picture it. At all. And as Flash is my favourite DC hero, that really sucks. When a TV actor seems a better fit, then there's a problem. Nothing I've seen him in convinces me he'll be any good, and it sucks. :csad:

Because being on TV automatically makes an actor worse than an actor who's in movies...

I don't want them to cancel The Flash to make Gustin a movie star and he's no way close to Ezra Miller in terms of acting. Leave TV and Film universes separate please. Gustin is meant for the Flash CW TV show, leave it at that.

People said the same about Gustin after getting excited about the idea of Matt Barr.

Funny enough, I feel the exact opposite ! The more I think about this casting, the more I LOVE it because it seems solely based on Ezra's acting chops and unusual personna.

I mean, why else would WB cast him ? The guy's a complete unknown for 99% of the GA. He never starred in a hit TV show and never had a Box Office success. He does not look like a typical Hollywood leading man at all, even less like a Superhero and even less like any incarnation of The Flash !! Oh and yeah, he's Queer, whatever that means !

WB, Zack Snyder and whoever is in charge must see something REALLY special in that guy to make him portray one of their most popular Superhero and/or he must PERFECTLY fits their vision, which brings us to my next point...

This casting gives us absolutely NOTHING about the direction WB is going with the Flash. Based on his earlier work, Ezra could do almost anything and nail it, imo :

Dark & Gritty Flash ? He can do that. Witty & Charismatic Flash ? He can do that. Weirdo & Awkward Flash ? He can do that. Shy & Lighthearted Flash ? He can do that. Fun & Rebellious Flash ? He can do that. Pretentious & Obnoxious Flash ? He can do that etc...

The only departement where Ezra doesn't quite fit is his looks, which is completly irrelevant. We all know that Zack Snyder is gonna make him hit the Gym and quit the pot.

Honestly, I think that Ezra has the potential to be AMAZING and way more memorable than Grant Gustin as Flash.

I am just really looking forward to the effects of Flash in this movie.
