Fallout 4

I never played Fallout 1 or 2 or even heard much about them. They were good I guess?

I'm just watching a video on YouTube breaking down the trailer, and the guy in it mentioned something that I never noticed; The transition from interiors to exteriors appears to be seamless.

That never bothered me in Bethesda's previous games, but it would definitely be a welcome improvement.

I wonder if they'll have ladder animations too!

The Fallout 4 announcement yesterday led to a dramatic upswing in sales of the most recent entries in the series, Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, at least on Amazon. The online retailer's Movers & Shakers Chart (via Videogamer) shows that Fallout 3 Game of the Year sales rose 1,163 percent, while the New Vegas Ultimate Edition enjoyed a dramatic 409 percent upswing in the wake of the reveal.

I got Fallout 3 GOTY on Disc, but i just saw that Steam has them for sale too.

I'm gonna buy the Steam copy . It'll be easier for me if i have to re-install the damn thing again coz of mods malfunctions.

So where is this supposed to take place anyway? Vault 101 and 112 was in the DC area.

All articles have stated they haven't said where this takes place in north america yet. more . they put detail about their panel's . But they also stated in the article above you that there won't be a stream. I guess if the people at twitch that run it show them I'll try & put it up.

But I barely see them have their E3 stuff on youtube so I might have to take their VOD from twitch it's self. hope it works for you.

About a year ago, someone who claimed to be en ex employee of Bethesda made a post in Reddit, giving up spoilers about the game.Back then, nobody believed her of course.But now, some of the things she said has proven to be true.

-The game will be set in Boston
-This time the player character will be voiced.

Some other things she said that i can remember:

-the game world will be roughly three times the size of Skyrim
-The game world will be divided in two major locations: Boston and the countryside surrounding the city;this is where the vaults and mutated creatures will be found.
-There will be characters from FO3 returning. Madison Li of course,and she also mentioned Bryan Wilkes...who is now a Talon merc
-The game will take place roughly ten years after FO3.
-Apparently you can only play as a male character...that is, until you finished the main storyline.And then apparently you can switch character and will be able to play as female.
-player character will also be a named character.

hmmm need a direct link to the source & another place or 2 other gamer news to confirm this that they found out the same info in a different way . not that I Don't believe it, but it helps

I fully believe the guy with the Vault 111 jump suit is the same guy that we seen with his wife and baby. I believe we'll actually see the world leading up to the bomb. The guy will wake up from being in Cryo-Sleep and set off to find his wife and child.. Who will have probably woken before him. I actually believe that the game will be post Fallout 3 too.. Maybe we'll see events shaped by the LW.. Hopefully meet up with Dr. Li.

Also very possible.

I see it two ways: 1.) player either chooses to play mother or father based on sex choice. 2.) player plays as the Baby Nd chooses male or female that way de to the child wearing white and white is more looked at as a "whatever sex" baby color.

It would be cool I think if you played as dad looking for family.. And you come across your old house, etc.. People would probably flip out and cry sexist if they couldn't play as a chick off the bat.

The whole only be able to play as a male and then randomly being able to play as a female after you finish the main storyline just sounds really fake. I can't think of any real logic behind that, unless they just would say, "Ah hell, you finished the game, be a girl if you want" or part of the endgame is the choice to get a sex change or something.

It could be a Harvest Moon / Red Dead Redemption kind of situation, where you get to play as the protagonist's kid, and choose their gender.

You'd still be able to design your character.. It would just be a dude. Unless you have something against dudes.

Yeah i remember that.

That is why Kotaku called bullcrap on that woman's post on reddit.

Kotaku got a leak scripts and casting calls for both male and female voice actors for player's character, while the womam on Reddit claim that you'll only be able to play as a male character.

But consider this:

Maybe they are BOTH right.Maybe that for the main storyline you'll only be able to play as male, but once that ended , you'll be able to choose, like she said. So that may explain the casting call leak that Kotaku has a year orso ago
