link to luda's reaction? never saw his thoughts on it i just knew he was at the ATL screening

Edit: I found it was posted on like page 8 or 9 of this forum by someone else. and it's not Ludacris's reaction to the movie whoever posted it first mixed up the responses.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a common practice among studios.

It is common, and it isn't the first time this film has used celebrities to endorse it. Ellen Page was promoting one of the trailers.

Many celebrities that mention specific products on Twitter are compensated. Sometimes they make five figures for a single tweet.

Having Dwight Howard like a film will probably be a net negative in Orlando and Los Angeles. Not sure if he has ticked off the Houston fans yet.

i find it weird that chronicle was only 85 minutes long but it never felt too short to me. i wonder if i'll have the same feeling after this film.

It's only a matter of time before The Rockets fans lose faith in him. He is too immature to lead any team to a title.

Good for him if he liked the movie, but, celebrity film reviews have never influenced me to see or not see a movie.

Yeah. He was definitely paid by Fox. We both know that the film sucks since we've seen it. Time-travel has its benefits sometimes.

:funny:

Saw a response comment on social media saying this millionaire Baksketball player is a Fox employee.

Pathetic

This is going to be fun week. I think I may step out for a bit.

The closer we get, the more fun it becomes!

Next week we also get Fatman on Batman Josh Trank part 3, which is all about the filming in Lousiana, so everyone gets to hear it from the Director himself telling about the story of Fantastic Four.

Get Hype.

Don't know how true this is but its from the movie editor at MTV News Alex Zalben

"FWIW, Fantastic Four review embargo is 12 hours different from Jurassic World's, and that's now the 3rd biggest movie of all time."

obviously embargo date isn't a great indicator when not compared to when the press screenings happen, but it surprised me

Jurassic World had positive WOM dating back to December. FF hasn't had that luxury; in fact it has had quite the opposite.

It's obvious that Universal were unsure of the kind of reviews that Jurassic World would garner. JW is a special case because the vast majority of films that have such an embargo do not review well at all. It remains to be seen whether FF is another special case.

If Fantastic Four is another Jurassic World and gets decent reviews from the majority of critics and makes 1.6 billion then fine. I'm not going to pretend that I didn't predict the exact opposite. I and Fox, who have no faith in the film, will be eating crow.

That's a shame, now if F4 is well received it won't get the claim of being the once in a life time exception to the rule.

Everything is family, they are all family, we are family, I got all my sisters (and brothers) and me

Ooooohh so scientific and more real now! Look what we learned from the Dark Knight movies!

Gotta admit, the user review at AICN had me dying lol

That and 2 successful films on franchises resume.

But I guess if this reboot didn't have flaws examples to support it then it wouldn't have any.

add another good movie with a similar embargo Josh Trank's Chronicle. They also had a similar embargo

After his performance in the last 2 playoff games against Golden State I'm sure it's setting in.

Either way I wouldn't take his word for anything. Plus MBJ does play ball for some minor league so I wouldn't be surprised if there's ties there.

If I were promoting this movie I wouldn't want his endorsement. I would invite some players who are actually popular to the screening and hope for the best after they meet the cast and ect.

Also dinosaurs. So that so even when quite a few reviews said it's dumb, kind of sloppy and the characters are cardboard cutouts it doesn't matter because oooh dinosaurs chasing and munching people!

F4 should have added dinosaurs during those "3-4 days" of re-shoots. :o

The embargo was for the day of the the previews - actually the evening with print being that Friday. Then there was backlash and bad press about it on twitter etc and FOX moved it up a whole day while still keeping the very late date to screen it for critics even though the film is finished enough to show it in Atalanta days earlier.

If Fox was smart they would try and trade the FF rights back for Kazar and the Savage Land. X-Men + dinosaurs= Billion dollar movie.

What I've heard/read about the movie. Don't know if it's true, though.

Doctor Doom can control the elements, and his masterplan is to consume the Earth with the blue beam from Planet Zero, in order to harness the raw energy it'll produce and become more powerful.

No blue uniforms in the end, they wear the containment suits all the way through.

The movie indeed ends with the four joking around and choosing the name. One of the suggestions is "Sue Storm and the Neurons", apparently.

No way is Marvel missing out on Avengers 6: The Savage Land when RDJ is lured back to play Iron Man to kick T-Rex butt.

You're laughing about it, but Drew Goddard's Sinister Six movie would've been set in the Savage Land and have skyscrapper-sized Sandman fighting a T-Rex.

Geez, I forgot about that. We really dodged a bullet there.
