And any critics that may per chance be there, obviously can't post a review I'm assuming.

Correct. That's why they do embargoes. (Though theoretically one could simply break the embargo, which has happened. There would likely be consequences, though.)

Plenty of reactions on Twitter and Instagram saying the movie was "good" and "great". Doesn't mean anything at this point but well, nobody is bashing it yet.

Yeah hearing it was good, great, awesome, must see is very encouraging

Early twitta reactions can never be trusted. Even Green Lantern got those adjectives with the first wave of twitta reactions.

Yes indeed.

For a little perspective on Twitter reactions, let's take a look at the first Green Lantern screening from 4 years ago:

Robert Meyer Burnett (director of Free Enterprise) on Twitter: GREEN LANTERN ####ing ROCKED. The 3D was AWESOME. As a lifelong DC fan, the opening ten minutes made me squeal like schoolgirl. … Believe it. The first ten minutes will make you believe. The 3D is also outstanding. … GREEN LANTERN was terrific fun. The fact that it works at all is a miracle, but it really does cook. The first ten minutes sold me. … The 3D in the opening ten minutes is wonderful. But YOU MUST see it with polarized glasses. The color is great. … It’s not campy at all. The humor is earned. And Mark Strong as Sinestro was AWESOME. … I LOVED GREEN LANTERN. Don’t know why, but it kinda’ felt like THE LAST STARFIGHTER. I know…”Huh?!? What?!?” … it really did feel like an 80’s movie, circa ’84… Weird. … BTW…In LexG parlance…Blake Lively…LOOK AT HER. SMOOOOOKING hot.

Natasha Eloi (Space Channel) on Twitter: “So-Frakking-Un-Believable!!! I’m still spinning w/ delight & utter fangirl satisfaction!! #GREENLANTERN IS GO!!!” … #GREENLANTERNCORP be sure to stay until the end of the 1st credit roll for the BIG PAYOFF!! U won’t be disappointed!! …. Torn between #MarkStrong as #Sinestro & #RyanReynolds as #GreenLantern on who rocked more! Hmm? Think we have a tie. Better be a sequel;)

David A. Arnold (comedian) on Twitter: Just saw Green Lantern…GOOD S###!

Trey Alexander (Fandango.com) on Twitter: “Just saw Green Lantern. Interview the cast tomorrow. Blake Lively is so hot. Ryan Reynolds is perfect. Great mix of humor, action & drama.”

Ashley Williams (Good Day Sacramento) on Twitter: “Just saw Green Lantern…amaz!”

its encouraging which is what I said, it doesn't say much for the grand scheme of things.

If I personally got invited to attend a red carpet premiere, I'd have an inflated opinion. I'd like to see people's reasoning for why they liked or didn't like it.

OMG! Green Lanterns sounds AMAZING! Can't wait to see it!

I expect this movie to go over decently well with audiences.

That's strangely optimistic of you. Fox wouldn't be planning an embargo this close to release if they thought people would like it.

If I'm not mistaken Guardians of the Galaxy lifted their embargo only about 2 days before release even though they screened the movie way before.

Critics are harder though. Most of the time, general audience enjoy a film more than the critics!

I don't know, as unappealing as this looks to me I can't help but think this will be a modest hit in the same vein as Chronicle. Chronicle had poor special effects but a charming cast and a decently engaging story. Best case scenario this movie will have something like that going for it, and truth be told, I think this could be recieved just fine.

Its easy to let the Red Carpet experience dictate ones opinion. These people being in the vicinity of the cast members, doing a ton of other things throughout the day, and getting to see the film for free I might add definitely colored their opinions. I expect the general public that see this next week will be much harsher, as they won't have all the other accommodations influencing their opinions.

Also, if these twitter reactions spoke of the film's quality, they'd try and compare it to other comicbook movie releases. For example, early DOFP reactions compared it to Winter Soldier. If they were truly raving about it, they'd be saying things like "I think I enjoyed this more than Antman" for example, but as of yet, I haven't heard any of that.

First reviews for Guardians of the Galaxy were on July 24, 2014. The movie came out August 1, 2014.

Thre is a review for this movie that's up on the site that can't be mentioned here.

Didn't read it yet because it has spoilers apparently.

Here's the interesting thing about that review...

It's either bull**** or this guy just revealed how much this film has been chopped up in the editing room. For one thing, he's claiming he saw a cut in February that he's basing this on. The film did substantial reshoots and was not completed until days before Comic-Con. That's a bit fishy. That said, if it was a legitimate early cut screening he makes it very clear that it was a two hour film. We know the final product is a good twenty minutes shorter. That's a lot of footage that was cut. Plenty to question with that one...

Good call by whoever closed that ridiculous 'review thre4d'. Hopefully the next person to start one (when there are actual reviews to post in it) will spell the title correctly.

Seems fake. Someone said the reviewer stole his troll post from IMDB.

So women can't be exploers in 2015? Really glad that caveman theory didn't exist in 1961 when Kirby and Lee started the comic. I guess that was a more enlightened time.
What an insult.
