This is starting to feel like a TheNextNolan22 situation.

Well...if someone has really seen I can think of a simple way to validate their story. I'm sure they would be able to remember a specific scene and/or lines of dialogue not already seen in any trailers/tv spots etc, and not rumoured to be appearing (like the classic suits at the end).

Describe the scene in as much detail and the dialogue as best they can remember (all put in spoiler tags, of course) and come next week we would know if they were on the level or not.

Btw, regarding press screenings...Afaik the press have to sign NDA's agreeing to the embargo (if one exists). I would have thought any 'plus 1' attending with a Journo would be bound by the same agreement?

Isn't an embargo only valid for legitimate critics?

That wasn't a lie.

Their minds are made up either way. What you can do to save your reputation is to post something about the movie that isn't publicly known yet (in spoiler tags) and we'll see in a few days.

I don't know that's why I asked the question. It would stand to reason 'press screening' rules would cover anyone in attendance. For example any given Journo could take their partner along for example. Would they be ok if that partner then blabbed everywhere about it?

Bet if Dony said the movie was bad his credentials would never have been questioned :whatever:

There seems to have been Atlanta screening, confirming what a lot of us have suspected for past months about the plot, quality and best and "worst" parts.

I'll post this in spoiler tags just incase:
There was a Fantastic Four screening last night in Atlanta. It should be ok as long as I don't get specific. It was miles better than the previous 2 and also better than Ant-Man and Ultron. Everyone has a believable scientific explanation for their powers.

In the end it, covered beneath all the played out superhero save the world beep is a story about friendship (Reed and Ben)and family (Susan and Johnny) and how the two are sometimes inseparable. Trank wasn't kidding when he said it was inspired by The Fly, because the best part of the film is the 2nd act where their lives are changed and because of that the 4 have to learn stick together and developed a bond (Reed/Ben didn't like Susan/Johnny in the 1st act). The 1st act was great too! Introducing each members giving us their childhood background story which were sweet and touching.

Aaaaaand the 3rd act reverted to an interdimensional slugfest between the F4 and Dr. Doom. Which is something u've seen in countless other superhero movies

The VFX is unpolished. Looks outdated.

The dialogue ranges from soul piercing to laugh out loud bad.

The performances were great. Toby Kebell killed it.

The cinematography and a cool blue color grading fits the film.

The film's best parts are not the action scenes but the emotional ones.

+ Another praise for Toby Kebell's Doom
+ Praise for the character interactions

The hype is becoming real! :ilv::hmr::mnm: I'm guessing critics will be harsh on the 3rd act [BLACKOUT]action slugfest, which is right because for the past years we had explosions where they all ended in massive CGI explotions, now we're having massive CGI battles, we need something new![/BLACKOUT]
That review sounds really good.

Its kinda reminding me of The Wolverine, though I just hope Fantastic Four's third act will be so much better Wolverine's 3rd act.

Not even by the people who are looking forward to the film?

The people looking forward to this movie would waste no time in giving anybody that says they saw the movie early a hard time if they did not like it. Thats a fact

Even despite the embargo, lots of backlash is leaking out about the film on places like IMDB and AICN, etc. Exact opposite of what dony's been saying. Nothing I'm gonna post though. You can go find it yourself if you're curious enough. At this point I'm not sure what we can trust. But the next several days are going to be reeeeeeally interesting.

Well to be fair, backlash could be as easily made up. Let's not act like some don't have an agenda against this film. It really does work both ways.

My advice. Just wait for the genuine reviews, or if you plan on seeing the movie, until you see it.

Perhaps. For the most part those looking forward to the movie aren't so fanatically invested in proving they're "right". At most they want the movie to be given a fair shake

I don't think I've seen any posts with certainty such as 'It will be great' or 'It won't be a flop' and so forth

You think C. Lee cares about that? Like, really?

I wouldn't know as I never referenced C.Lee

Agree. We'll all find out soon enough.

I wouldnt be so sure about that. Since all of the ones looking forward to this so quickly believed Donys so called "review" even after evidence by C.Lee that he could be lying. Both sides at this point want to say "they are right" The positive believes anything that matches their own point of view

He is the one that called out Dony and erased his posts. The one that said he has posted false, trolling info before.

There was also people doubting Dony saw the movie, before C.Lee.

His view on the movie and if he saw it was dismissed. The comment section of the article had trolls calling him a paid plant, most likely because he didn't say it was the worst movie of all time, and of course as we all know it's not possible for a person to enjoy the movie without being bias or paid.

I don't believe the good or bad early reviews. Sorry kiddies but Icy is waiting for official reviews.
