Wow, what a damn waste. That looks so effing corny.

Ah well, i ended up not really liking FC3 all that much, so its not like i was hoping for any story DLC or anything.

Where would it have gone? Unless they were attacked by pirates or something following the good ending, and ended up on a third island or something....but if that island had dinosaurs, I could get behind that.

This is the same argument I used for Tomb Raider. The story itself was done and the goal of getting off the island was achieved in both game. People complained about no DLC in TR, but now they complain about Far Cry doing something to bring players back into that world. I might not ever play this, but just by the looks of it, I can appreciate what they are trying to do since this has nothing to do with the main game and is pretty just just using the engine and playstyle in a different setting.

The whole gamebis a Terminator love letter, the first gameplay segment is a Predator reference & the first achievement is a Die Hard line? Yeah, I'm sold.

Exactly. Blood Dragon looks face-meltingly awesome. I can't wait for it. After watching some of the opening level, I'm super curious to see what the remaining game looks and plays like. The world looks like a balls-out mashup of every 80's action/sci-fi theme ever, so I'm stoked to see where they take it.

Giant Bomb Quick Look and review (4/5) for Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon isn't just more Far Cry 3, though. It's Far Cry 3 taped onto a VHS tape, then duped over to another VHS tape with the commercials cut out, then copied for your friends at school and played on a filthy VCR that's been playing illicit tapes taken from the "steamy" section of the local rental store. This '80s action movie twist on the Far Cry 3 mechanics has a killer aesthetic, but it flinches a little too often, resulting an a game that oscillates between dumb B-movie tropes and a self-awareness that prevents the look and tone from working as well as it should.

After playing for 4-5 hours, starting to feel the gimmick wear off and eh its just Far Cry 3. I'd say if you want more Far Cry 3 its probably worth it, if not then I'd say skip it

I think PSN got it a day earlier for some bizarre (and awesome) reason. And I agree, it does feel just like Far Cry 3, just faaaar more ridiculous and doesn't even remotely come close to taking itself seriously. And the dragons change it up a lot more than you'd think. Taking outposts (or garrisons) are so much more entertaining now with the dragons lol

I have the same problem that Giant Bomb did. Its too self aware. Like the loading screens or that stupid die instead of the rock.
