Wow, a very impressive OW.

I freaking loved it. Best since the first.

I wonder where a 5th would go storyline wise. Dom in Toyko with Sean? Brian, Mia and maybe Roman as a new crew? Or just the plain Toretto solo flick they floated for a while after the original?

The 5th one is already in the works. They want to take it to Europe. All the main characters would return.

They should bump up the budget for the next one and get a big name for the villain. I'm talking Stallone or Willis.

So if there's a sequel to this one, when will it take place? Being that this is suppose to be before 2F2F.

Nah, this new one takes place before Tokyo Drift. That's why Han is in the beginning. It shows why Dom knew Han at the end of TD.
Speaking of Tokyo Drift, I just re-watched it and forgot how much I loved it. 'course then again, I love cars and racing and that's all TD is about

It's actually set inbetween 2F2F and Tokyo Drift. Sequel will most likely be set after Tokyo Drift.

i wonder what Brian did with the money he took in 2F2F, pockets weren't empty cuz

Brian wanted to & suggested in that same scene that they open up & run a garage together & am I the only one thinking with this movie making so much money there will be a new trend in sequels with original casts members back ? With Ghostbusters 3 in the works who knows we could end up finally getting Spaceballs 2 & The Goonies 2 (with surviving cast members) & if there were to be another American Pie movie I can see that having thanks to this movie the original cast back & the introduced Stifflers from the spin offs & that rumored a long while back Police Academy sequel might also get made now :o

saw this movie yesterday and though I think the title could've been much better, it was the best one since the original... so, there's talks about a sequel, eh... hope it's as good, if not better

I haven't seen this one yet but i'm mainly here to gripe about why ppl seem to mock & or hate this franchise so much?. If it were up to me there would be no award winning movies because as much as I don't mind those movies such as I Am Sam, Schindlers List, Saving private Ryan, Good Will Hunting. I absolutley love sittin back, watching some great action, great special effects, a kickass sountrack & score, eating me popcorn & just forgetting about real life for 2 hrs. To me, that's why movies were made, to deliver escapism for a few hrs. For me I don't want to go see a movie about real life problems just because some shmuck might win an award, only to return back to my own real life problems, i want popcorn entertainment. So for me this franchise is just one of many that bring me great joy & comfort. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Lets face it Dom and Brian as the team in Fast and Furious is that franchise gold. They shoudl bring back Tyrese for the 5th movie cause feel it be cool to have the whole FF male actors in one film.
I actually thaught it was as good as 1 and vastly surperior to 2 and 3 in my opinion. Dom is one bad dude and proves Vin Diesal has not lost anything if the script is better written then Babylon AD. Now bring on XXX Return Of Xander Cage and Riddick 2 which would be Pitch Black 3.

Is there a big racing culture in Europe, aside from F1 racing.

Ugh... this ****ing country...

My thoughs exactly. I know people have their own opinions on film and whatnot but I hate, HATE, how great (IMO, I mean), original films like Watchmen stay completely out of the public eye and films like this are getting the glory. :down

Maybe I'm still just sore and disapointed twords the GA for Watchmen tanking...

Watchmen was not a general audience movie. It was for the fanboys.

That said, the Fast and Furious franchise always surprises me at the box office, the movies aren't good, but always make money. The first is just a really lame ripoff of Point Break, just without as charismatic of a cast. I remember seeing the first in the theater and thinking it was alright, but that's more because the girl I took was so into it. Watched it on video later and realized how bad it was. Although I guess street racers need their movie too.

Yeah, well, the original has been regarded as being influenced by those older kind of crime/revenge/chase films.

Wow people can't handle Watchman sinking faster then the Titanic. Racing is big male driven activity in The USA. Big as the comic book crowd. Now i like comic book movie fine but i like something differant like this. Face it Vin Diesal was written off way too prematurely.

Get over yourself with that whole "What's wrong with this country?" bulls***. So what if this movie made more than Watchmen? If you believe that film was a great movie, then more power to you. If you believe something is good, then it's good. Box office numbers shouldn't have to justify how good or bad a movie is. That's just how it is.

Watchmen isn't doing well because of bad word of mouth. and the entire concept is off putting

everyone loves cars and car chases. And they're done really well in this movie

double post... again.

I've seen Annapolis and didn't really care for it, but Better Luck Tomorrow i loved.

I was shocked at how much money this movie made over the weekend. I expected it to do pretty well, but... damn.

I'll admit, part of me wants to see it. I love the first movie, despite a plot that made no sense and a Paul Walker performance so wooden I swear I spotted termites. But I do have to admit it is a little off-putting that a franchise built on nothing more than ludicrous car chases (half of which are CGI) has made it to a fourth movie.
