That's not necessarily a bad thing. I kind of like the fact it's bit more serious. Gotta remember these characters are a bit older. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it though! I'm seeing it tomorrow. :woot:
Yeah I hear what you're saying. They are older characters. I guess there was glimpses of what I really wanted out of it. Anytime Dom and Brian would do the slightest bit of back and forth I was always pleased. The movie itself was good though

Reviews sound good, and the box office is sound,
looks like a great weekend for Vin Diesel!

Fast & Furious is tracking $60-65+ million OW. That's awesome.

Wow, he's saying 28!

Yeah, it's budget was about 80 mil, and I think it may make that back and then some.

didn't expect it to do that well.

They are already discussing a fifth installment and Vin Diesel is interested. I also read that Paul Walker is hoping they can get Tyrese but he might just be saying that .

April OW record shattered! F&F made Toyko Drift's total DOM gross in one weekend. :) Might get $70 milllion OW. $30.1 million OD!! Speaks volumes about the power of getting the original cast back.

I just have that gut feeling that this film will open big and exceed expectations.

I called it.

Opening big is a great thing for this movie, because I do fear for it next weekend. Three movies are opening next week that could unpredictable (not counting Dragonball: Evolution).

:o

Hannah Montana is going to crush this movie next week.

Wow, 30.1 million on a Friday alone.

Very impressive.

Fast and Furious are always fun popcorn flicks, IMO. I'll check this out soon :)

I think this movie will hold well even in the face of next weekend. I think the biggest drop it will have is 60%, but I think it will be a 55% drop.

Just got back from this. Pretty good movie. Definitely entertaining and exciting. Nice add to the F&F series. Good to have the original cast back.

Just came back. Best one since the original. Very fun and exciting. Good job bringing back the cast, because even though the fast and the furious movies are known for their cars, you've got to still have fun characters that we're interested to see. I don't think 2 Fast 2 Furious and Tokyo Drift have those. I think The Fast and the Furious and Fast and Furious do.

Caught it this afternoon, it was definitely fun, there was no doubt about that. It was great to see more action from the classic muscle cars instead of all these dime-a-dozen import cars.

I wasn't expecting much, but the stuntwork and action scenes were definitely worth the price of admission.

Some of the driving stuntwork done with the muscle cars is amazing to see. Even though you could tell in a few scenes where it was CG.

I'm glad everyone is reaching a pretty decent consensus.

At least HERE anyway,..

This franchise got back on track. It had a decent revenge plot and was loaded with action. If you like the original you will be pleased. I liked the first , didn't care for the second , and enjoyed the third , so it was cool to see Han tied into the story. I will be interested to see where they go from here.

Great movie not much to really complain about this one. It was fun seeing the original cast again. But didn't Tyrese himself say in a number of interviews that he did a small cameo ? I hope they did not delete it just to have cool stuff on the DVD & Blu-Ray

Keeping Tyrese out of a movie is usually welcomed.

Ugh, I just came from the IGN Boards and they attacked me for liking this movie.

Jeez, it's like people forgot what a FF movie is supposed to be about.

I just saw 2F2F a few days ago and even though it's still the weakest of the movies, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be or nearly as bad as everyone talked of it...and I really liked Tyrese in the movie. For a newbie actor, and despite the cheesy one-liners, he has a lot of charisma and he's got good improv skills.

Tyree could of fit into the sequence at the end for it to be a good cameo . I think anywhere else would of been pointless.
