Fast Five Aka The Fast and The Furious 5

I guess Dom saves his life somehow & The Rock lets him go. Like the ending to the first one with Brian letting Dom go & then in the next one The Rock joins the crew

well he looks beat-up. Could just say he got away and it seems like he still plans to catch him. If they are alone no reason why anyone else would know he got a head start.

Billy Bob Thornton's "Cop" and Oliver Jackson-Cohen's "Killer" split a good amount of screentime with the Rock. Jackson-Cohen's character in particular is pretty lightweight and inconsequential to the ending. Imho, he could have been completely eliminated in the scripting process and the film wouldn't have suffered.

Rock is great in Faster though. He does a lot in that movie with just body language, posture. He probably has less than 50 lines total.

Ugh, I hate when they give massive amounts of screentime to a character that essentially adds nothing to the movie. I'll still give it a shot, though. I like The Rock in action films. I'm glad he's gone back to them instead of that Disney Game Plan Tooth Fairy crap.

I'm not a big fan of this series, but I just recently saw the trailer for Fast Five, and loved it. I'm really looking forward to seeing this one in the theater.

That's because all people had to do to find out who The Rock was in the movie is look at one of his tattoos & they get scared ****less. Like that one guy early on. The Rock never had to say much to begin with in that movie

Yeah the UK's full title is Fast & Furious 5: Rio Heist or just Fast & Furious 5 for short.

Is Faster any good?

I liked it. "Driver" was such a total badass. It would be interesting to see him as a Terminator after watching this one. He stopped at nothing to get his vengeance. The scene that proves this is at the hospital when he is finishing a job. Those that have seen it will know what I mean.

I agree that the "Killer" was entirely inconsequential for the film. Also, "Cop" Billy Bob is wearing thin on my nerves. I cannot buy him as a cop/detective one iota.
