I dont think he overlooked that (if im reading right). He's pointing out how Brian was a vice cop, went "rogue", slate cleaned, and then was instated into the FBI.
I love these films but even I admit that I never liked that
So what do you guys think with The Fast and the Furious 6 (Fast & Furious: 6th Gear, Furious 6, whatever the f*** they call it). Because I know the after credits scene hints at something huge
Letty is alive. Which idk I think is kinda dumb but oh well. She was in Berlin too. I hope they dont go to Berlin though.
I would love for them to bring back the street racing. I mean I was really disappointed during that Blue Porsche scene. Because I loved this one and everyone I saw it with loved it but we were itching for street racing. I dont mind the heist angle though so that'll be cool. But with them having 10 mill each, I wonder what else they could steal and why
But if they bring the fun, and everyone back (Tyrese, Luda, the reggaeton guys, han) then I'll be there
Watched it last night. Man, the movie was really awesome. Fast Five was a thrill ride from beginning to end. Minor complaints include odd pacing and edits, particularly the scene where Dom races the Brazilian for his blue car. Other than that, everyone was on their game. Loved the chemistry that the team had. Every character had their moment to shine.
The Rock was hilariously bad-ass and a great addition to the series, can't wait to see more of him. Han, of course, is as smooth and calm as ever. With each sequal that features Han, the more saddened and angry I become at his fate. For the sixth movie they need to retcon that ****.
Another surprise for me was how they handled Dom's love interest. I expressed my disdain for him falling in love again in the series, but I enjoyed the way it played out. It felt genuine that he and the cop was drawn to each other through an understanding of loss. To see them together, one gets a sense of healing and happiness.

But no doubt Dom and Brian killed cops during the end chase
Yeah I didnt get that either

As for the confusion with the story line, it works like this.
The Fast and The Furious
2Fast2Furious
Fast and Furious
Fast Five
Tokyo Drift
In the first film, Brian is an undercover cop who gets emotionally involved with the people he is supposed to bring down. He lets Dom go in the end and loses his badge for it. He goes to Miami to avoid arrest but is ultimately found. To clear his record he must work with the cops again to bring down a big time money launderer or whatever. Brian and Roman team up with success. Brian is reinstated as a police officer. With the death of Letty, who Brian was working with, Dom reenters the picture. With Dom comes the sister that Brian fell for. Dom and Brian team up to take out Letty's killers which ends with Dom going to prison. The next set of events unfold in Fast Five.
This franchise is really easy to follow if you have seen all films.

I like the idea of Madrid. Barcelona would be sick too. Greece would be awesome
But to me and I dont mean to offend anyone from Berlin or Germany but that just seems kinda lame to me.
I just think they have all these different places with "flavor". LA/Cali, Miami, Tokyo, Mexico, Rio. And then Berlin? Idk just seems boring, not really exotic, not really a place I would want a fun movie like this set in
EDIT: I'd actually would really like it to be set in Greece
EDIT2: Maybe Rome. Rome (Tyrese) in Rome

Id like to see them all over europe, Greece would be good, Italy,Spain,France,England. Id like to see some top Euro cars and a few Euro chracters (mainly a couple of English chracters).
o ok.....so you don't like that he was reinstated?
Well technically Hobbs grabbed the wrench 1st and started going after dom,dom just picked it up in the heat of the moment why would they interfere if at 1st their boss had the wrench?...I loved how they put that in there....really shows how much doms character has grown
Because their boss no longer had a wrench. It would be as if The Rock picked up a knife and then Dom took it. They wouldn't just stand there to see how it played out. Don't get me wrong, I like the theme of it and how it shows how Dom has changed, it just bugs me that the Rocks men stood by and just watched.
So now that they're bringing Michelle back, do you think they're just going to go ahead and say that Han somehow survived his explosion?

So what was the original plan before Hobbs arrested them? They were going to pretend to be cops, walk right in, and take it? Doesn't really seem like it would have worked.
After re-watching Tokyo drift, I hope han is dead because no way he could survive that explosion. I would just hope they do a bunch of movies that take place before drift and let drift be the final film.
Wow a definite improvement over the 4th sequel with lots more of the car stuntwork and less excuses to pad the film out with racing scene filler.
The story was pretty straight forward, Toretto and the gang are still wanted and The Rock has to hunt them down plain and simple, don't expect any Oscar nods come awards season.
I'm not expecting a 6th FF film but the post credit sequence really got my audience hyped up, if they can come up with a good story for a sixth film then I just hope it's the last before the series really gets stale.

I hate Tokyo Drift and consider it the Halloween 3 of the FF series, at this point they should probably start re-introducing Lucas Black's character from TD and have him continue the series.
