Favorite Field Trip

You missed a great one.

Actually no I didn't. Almost everyone said it sucked. That year they had like some random ass performer like Shaggy or some ****. I rather have spent the $75 on booze.

Gr. 9, first field trip of the year (any my highschool career) first week of October. After a longass boring day, at like, 8 the sun is setting and we're on the bus home. The front of the bus clips a car in front and the car skidded into the concrete, got locked between the bus and the concrete then flipped over. LOL. It was crazy. Guy just had a concussion. We had to wait for a new bus driver because the old one wasn't allowed to drive anymore, so we stayed at a coffee shop for 4 hours and all got back at around 11.

Yeah, there was some huge debate at my school about going somewhere else that year.

You can go to DW any time.

Yea, but it's different when you're 17. Usually you have to tag along with your parents. At Grad Night it was just you and your friends. It was different. It was fun. Plus, the lines weren't as huge since the park was open only to students.

Touche. Either way, I never had the chance to go. Again, another planned trip ruined because of a class cheating scandal. **** on me. :(

I've gone to Disney and Universal with my friends. Granted this was when we were 18 and right after graduation.

Exactly. You were 18 and had graduated. But had you gone to Grad Night it would have been your first trip to Disney without your parents. So, I doubt you would have considered it a crappy experience.

What scandal? Did they cheat on the FCAT or something?

The majority of our school work was done on computers. Fat kid in the class cracked the system, changed grades for kids, printed out answers, all that good stuff. Everyone involved was either expelled or suspended. They also cancelled any planned trips for the rest of the year, so the entire class had to pay even if they weren't involved. :csad:

In sixth grade we went on a week long camping with our teachers, it was really incredible. I wish I could back to that place, it was a beautiful peaceful little section of the wild.

8th grade field trip to a marine science center; that center is the reason I went to the university I chose, and I ended up working there for a bit. Awesomeness.

The high school I went to had a planetarium(!) and all elementary schools would take bus loads of kids there all school year as field trips.

Favorite moments in the planetarium: when the black light got turned on and when the planetarium guy sprayed us with water during the rain storm scene on the domed ceiling. Pretty awesome when you're in elementary school.

It's the same thing really.

Wow, I haven't had a field trip since the sixth grade. Five years ago. Damn.

I remember in sixth grade going to this NASA place and putting together a rover thingy to put on Mars.

I actually enjoyed going to the Monroe County Museum in fourth grade.

An outside museum?! Does it get any better?

Web and Catman, did you guys ever have MAST Academy visit your school on the Land Sharc?

You get to feel up on some sting rays that's pretty much it. Way too educational.

I wonder what Bamfer looked like when he used to be cool...
