Which songs had your favorite guitar solos?

Please, no elitism. The favorite guitar solo can be from a song from past to present. And please, no whining about how one era of music is better than the other (this especially goes for one member that I won't name).

With that said, I have alot of favorites, but my undisputed favorite has to be Slash's solo from:

Guns N' Roses- "Sweet Child o' Mine"

Touch one to pick a favorite for.

I'll just pick Megadeth - Holy Wars.

I'm sure there are ones I like more but that's one that pops into my mind at the moment.

Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd
Green Grass & High Tides - The Outlaws

Sunshine Of Your Love - Cream
While My Guitar Gently Weeps - The Beatles
Time Waits For No One - The Rolling Stones
All Along The Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix
Johnny B. Goode - Chuck Berry
For The Love Of God - Stevie Ray Vaughn

Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
You Really Got Me - The Kinks
Beat It - Michael Jackson (played by Eddie Van Halen)
Walk This Way - Aerosmith
Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who
You Shook Me All Night Long - AC / DC

Yeah these....

But i mean look at some of the guitarists on this list:

- Slash (GNR)
- Gilmour/Watters (Pink Floyd who i've both seen play incredibly).
- Angus Young (ACDC)
- Eric Clapton/Duane Allman (Allman played the Studio Album version of Layla but Clapton can do it just as well and is one of the greatest guitarists i've ever seen both with Cream and solo).
- Brian May (Queen)
- Joe Perry (Aerosmith)
- Pete Townshend (The Who)
- Eddie Van Halen
- Jimi Hendrix
- George Harrison (The Beatles)
- Keith Richards (The Rolling Stones)
- Stevie Ray Vaughn

So it's no real surprise.

I like The Outlaws - Green Grass and High Tides solo and i'd never even heard that song until i bought Rock Band.

One of my favorite solos is Joe Walsh's solo in Hotel California.

I also like the solo in Boston's "Piece of Mind" played by Barry Goudreau.

and how do you not like Skynyrd's guitars? Rossington and Gaines.

Also! NEIL YOUNG! COME ON PEOPLE!

Eruption solo by Van halen, hands down one of the best solos. well imo.

i love playing it on guitar.. sick ****.

i wish i could play guitar

i love listening to it so much but i'm musically challenged.

I love Gary and Steve... but the virtuoso was Allen. HE'S the one behind Freebird.

Collins too, i was just talking about Skynyrd in General though not just Freebird. I happen to love Sweet Home Alabama and Simple Man perhaps even more than Freebird.

Sweet Emotion - Aerosmith
War Pigs - Black Sabbath

Randy Rhoads in Crazy Train i suppose is worth bringing up if we're going to put Black Sabbath (Ozzy's first claim to fame) on this list.

Heartbreaker - Led Zeppelin
Dazed & Confused - Led Zeppelin

and quite a few others listed above

Estranged - Guns n Roses
Vodoo Chile (Slight Return) - Hendrix
Machine Gun - Hendrix
